On 3/18 I wrote a post: "but we still have not seen the Sauber do its potential...at the start of the race, both of their cars were damaged (front and rear wings) with associated parts falling off throughout the race...what I am looking for is a race where they survive the bumper car start and then C what they can do..."...to which U responded:

I think you quoted the wrong guy. I've never indicated or suggested that Perez is capable of winning a world championship, at least not yet. In fact, I was simply drawing the comparison in my post of Sauber's win in the rain as equivalent to Toro Rosso's win in the rain a few years ago. The similarity is that Toro Rosso was not capable of winning a race in the dry that year, and neither is Sauber this year.

So the hand riding on the wall is Baharain GP 2012 will go as 2011.

Looks like the W-Duct is gonna stay on the Merc. Lotus filed a complaint and the FIA shot it down. Now all the teams have to scamble and figure out if they're gonna copy it or not... Honestly, I think its biggest advantage comes in quali since you can use it anywhere.
Looking forward to this race, China was a great show last year.

Actually, it was my mistake. I had read your rather moronic comments and had that in mind when I was typing. Thanks for referencing me though. See, I don't worship at your footstool, nor do I take time to usually read your rather boring comments. If I want to read a copy and pasted blog post, I can go there myself. I would rather read original remarks like the others in this thread do.

Pete, there was a great explanation of how the duct worked on Speed during the P2 session today. While it works great in practice and qualifying with unlimited use of the DRS, it is severely limited in the race. Not sure if the other teams see any merit in the system because it certainly has done nothing in race conditions. It is fun however to see how teams try to exploit loopholes in the rules, which is what F1 should be all about.
Agreed, the reactive ride height system the Lotus had should've never been banned imo.
I don't know if you guys watch F1 Debief, but I think Posey's Perspective hit the nail on the head regarding Massa... I must say, his piece is one of the things I enjoy most about Speed's coverage of F1.
Also, a great breakdown of Merc's F-duct on tonights episode. That was the first time I've seen a pic of the actual ducting in the nose, pretty cool.
