FilthyEvo's track car build/track day writeups
If I can afford it at the time, I will.
Anyways, I'm going off of this track day prep list: http://roadraceengineering.com/blog/?p=1234
Anything else I should consider? I have a digital tire pressure gauge, but will be snagging a Moroso gauge (only $40), which I think will be much better.
Anyone running NT01's? What's a good cold pressure to start at, and what is an ideal hot pressure to check/maintain?

In all seriousness, zip ties and extra t-bolt/worm clamps go along way. I did an even back in April, and popped the uicp at the throttle body. It was not easy finding a decent clamp.
Awesome, thanks guys.
Getting anxious. Can't wait to get on track!
I'm wondering if I should already purchase my next track day....?
Alright guys, I need to pick up an extra set of pads for my upcoming track days. Want to make sure I have spares just in case.
I'm running the StopTech ST40 kit up front with Raybestos ST43 pads, and Girodisc 2 piece rotors in the rear RB ST41 pads. Last time I checked, I still had a good-to-new amount of pad left both up front and in the rear. Does anyone have experience with these pads and know about how long they should last?
Also, should I go ahead and grab another set of these pads, or is there an alternative pad that will work better for my beginner needs?
Another thing, I remember seeing some heat stress cracks (?) on the front rotor rings, but nothing to the edge of the rotor. Safe to say I should probably grab an extra set of front rings as well?
Thanks for the help guys!

I drive my car to the track so I bring some stuff to make sure I can get home, May not be a big deal for you if you tow. I bring a spare set of street pads as a back up in case I kill a set. I also bring a torque wrench for checking torque after each session. Thermal cycling the brakes may have some affect on torques. Extra brake fluid, and some fasteners and T clamps.
Have fun real tracks make Autocross seem like a waste.

Thanks! I tend to over-prepare. May be a good thing, but damn it's hectic! LOL.
To anyone running NT01's, what's a good cold pressure to start at F/R? I will have a compressor with me, so adding pressure back won't be a problem.
Super nervous, anxious, and excited. Don't know what to expect, but I'm just going to take it slow, listen to my instructor and focus on being smooth.

Issues sorted out of the blue, it randomly fired up today. Pretty sure the fuel pump wasn't firing on previous start attempts but after manually activating it with a battery to confirm it was operational, the car started today when I was testing spark. Ordering a new battery and registering for the next NHMS event now.
My buddy was in run group 2 so we were out of there a little after 4, which was nice. Interested to hear your experience out there.
