Öhlins THAT much better?
For track use, you can certainly get better suspensions at higher price points, but whether or not you can actually make use of the extra adjustments and such is a different question. There's also a question of longevity and service intervals, which tend to be shorter on the boutique suspension parts, etc.
No one-size-fits-all.
Also, Ohlins still supports the CT9A. Read through the whole thread: The early rumors about the R&T being discontinued for the CT9A turned out to be misinformation. For what it's worth, I ordered my CT9A Ohlins just recently.

Im sure the OP has long decided his setup by now, but I guess I'll leave this here for future though. As Construct said, their is no one size fits all. You will not bolt on an OTS solution and immediately be the fastest. Maybe locally fast, but nationally you will still suck.
OTS solutions are only a starting point, and having a setup that can be adjusted to test different things is absolutely necessary. I don't know anything about FA, but if they could prove to me they know their stuff and I had dyno plots to back up claims, I would give them a shot. But its really hard to compare to the proven nature of Ohlins and multiple places you can go for revalving support.

I'm using a set of re valved ohlins DFV with Swift 8/9k spring rates. They are phenomenal, my previous setup was custom valved bilsteins with Swift Spec R springs(happy with that setup. The Ohlins blow them out of the water in every aspect.

I wish they had been in stock back when I needed a set.
Chad- What would be your recommendation for how long between rebuilds on the Ohlins? My car is also my DD so my DFV's have seen ~12,000mi of DD duties and like 13 autocrosses thus far.
Now bare in mind that I am not a pro so this is more for a budget minded folk such as myself. Im **** about maintenance on my car and have spent good $ on quality parts so I want them to last but at the same time don't like throwing away $ where I don't have to.

we've only ever had ONE damper leak from ohlins-
that being said- if someone runs maybe 2 track days a month- id consider a revalve after two seasons-
the remote resevoir stuff requires alot more work- nitrogen tank, gauge, etc and checked almost every weekend

I am not against fortune as a company or enthusiasts level(everybody buys and runs what they want, that what makes motorsport great), but for ME, in the big dog games, they have a lot to prove before I would pick them over any big names.
Yes because they are triple adjustable. You have independent control over rebound, high compression, and low compression. These are a true racing coilover. The FA Pro 3's are an amazing setup, my buddy just got sponsored by FA and he now runs a set of Pro 3's on his unlimited class Evo.

I'm all for giving someone a chance....but it's an expensive risk to take.
The fact that they paid to be a GTA sponsor doesn't mean much to me.

But the fact that they are a sponsor and sell a product and offer services that work well sould mean something
Not to mention they offer contingency credit for those who run GTA. The Unlimited Evo I was talking about previously went over 2 seconds faster at GTA Road Atlanta 2014 than it did at the 2013 Road Atlanta event after switching to Fortune Auto's product. They even had their truck out there with their techs perfecting the car so the most could be made out of it.
