The thing is that alch loosens the all the black stuff that normally hangs out of the way and creates the "junk" that then tries to go through the system. It also Creates issues with non-compliant rubber. I also ran e85 for several years without issue but had to fail back to 100 octane due to mpg.

i ran e85 for 4 years in my Evo 9. only thing i changed were Injector Dynamic stainless injectors, and Walbro 450 pump. everything else in the fuel system is stock. my car sits for weeks between race weekends, and months during off season. never had any issues with buildup or gunk. e85 is a magical fuel for boosted cars.

E85 is most definitely the way to go. My evo stays on it and I have a 93 map for emergencies and what not. It’s a common misconception that it’s “dirty” when in all actuality it’s not. You just need the proper fueling mods and you’re good to go.

thanks.
re: e85 again, SCCA specifically opted not to allow E85 for their time trials rules. Curious how that's going to shake out, their Tuner T2 class is basically street. It also allows 265s, and, vs. their solo STU class, which is again about Gridlife Street, allows open boost & 1 LSD for AWD cars.
will be interesting to see how NATA works out these details. E85 is such a huge benefit for boosted cars, which is partly why SCCA said no to E85 in their tuner class (ok for one above it).
do people actually daily on E85? I understand for race cars, but for DDs too?

But if it was your only car and you drive much more than 10-15 miles a day, the MPG loss is pretty dumb to put up with. Flip side... who here drives there evo for MPG's?
