I hate to bump from the dead, but I know you said you're a fan of the Cusco 141FG, but it is a 1.0 way rear diff, correct? I'm looking to possibly go with both a Cusco front and rear diff (the LSD 450C and the LSD 141L15). Any major pros/cons going with the 141FG out back instead of the 141L15?!

Thanks!

141FG is a 1.0 way, yes. buy my 141 L15! lol https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/market/752138

141FG will be looser on decel than a 141L15, which provides lockup on decel. If you want loose, go 141FG.

Well I think you and Grice have sold me on going the FG route then, haha. I've struggled with a very tight/understeery car the last two years. I'm hoping this will help my issues.

Later this year I'm going to be switching to an OSG rear diff. I know my TRE is pretty old at this point and supposedly the OSG has some interesting lockup characteristics. Plus friends with it seem to always rave.

I would already have it, but I dont want to change too many things at once so will probably be mid-ish season.

yea for whatever reason, the snap ring on the passenger's side is 2-3mm bigger than the one on the driver's side, and is ****ing fighting me going in. the driver's side goes in with relative ease. i've got a company sending me a few samples of different sizes to see what i'll need

Spare axle clips? Shouldn't you mean spare axles? The spare parts I've accumulated over the years of SM is pretty crazy, lol.

I keep meaning to source a full set of spares on them. The minimal pros I do and single plate clutch has kept my axles fairly happy but its only time...

If anyone can confirm a part number for working axle clips, please let us know. I, personally, will order a bunch

axle is IN. I spoke to an awesome company called Rotor Clip located in New Jersey. They sent me 3 different snap ring sizes to try out for the axle, and the CRH-23 worked. The amount of difficulty getting the axle in was equal to or slightly greater than the OEM original axle clip on the driver's side. The CRH-24 I think would be close too, but probably a ltitle too big. Their CRH-25 is the exact size and shape as the OEM snap ring and is too large.

OEM snap ring:

Awesome company, and relieved the axle is finally ****ing in.

btw i dont think it's ever a part that really should need to be replaced - honestly not sure how my evo ended up with the updated oem snap ring on the driver's side.
