For anyone who was interested, Chad just mentioned on FB that hes going to do another run of his CBRD radiators.

Ooh, I need to look for that. I was going to do a mini rad but I think a narrow full size rad is better for mixing in a bit of track use.

Since I resurrected this thread, does/has anyone made any kind of ducting from the bumper or IC to the rad? Or has anyone made anything to close the gap between the rad support and radiator if you've deleted AC?

With all of that wide open I've yet to have any cooling issues what so ever. The only reason I see to duct is for Aero but that's after you've already done ALL the rest.

Or, don't buy them because Chad is an asshat with a radiator that doesn't fit right.

And instead order a CSF slim rad with integrated slim fan. Part number 7075. Spend less money and get a better product.

From what I understood your fitment issue was AC condenser related. This wont be a problem for me because racecar.

I have all the stock stuff and have never, ever, ever had any hint of overheating (also stock radiator). But I'm interested in options in case I some day am forced to an aftermarket radiator. In for comments.

Yeah its more of an OCD thing for me. But in addition to that, just wanted to see whats been done. If anyone has made any ducting for a front/center mounted oil cooler as well.

I'm thinking ABS + heat gun + drill...? You can then use various OEM mount points or self-tapping screws, maybe? Should be pretty simple to route air for those parts. Sounds kinda fun, actually.

Doesn't change the fact that he's an asshat and you shouldn't buy his product. Nothing special about the rad anyways, its a basic griffin core IIRC. Fan doesn't even have a shroud, just mounted against the radiator with tabs. Someone I'll leave out for now also had his arrive, installed, and it leaked from a weld. So there's that too. No reason for a pressure tested part to arrive with a leak.

Go with Chad's if you want to wait 10 months and never get any correspondence.

He doesn't even run CBRD anymore. Only cares about Porsche **** now. Didn't even have the decency to give me a response when I messaged him about trying to buy some turbo parts.

i'll still be on my stock rad, I need to pick up a water temp gauge still...

**cough** **cough** don't forget the stakes on the bottom being mounted in the wrong spot too Oh and the hood that didn't want to close, that is assuming you plan to use a radiator cap which I'd imagine most here would prefer to keep I don't know who this guy, Im told he is very good looking but I don't play for that team so cant comment but pretty sure he was not thrilled about his CBRD radiator experience.
