X calipers with cheap Centric one-piece rotors is a good compromise.

The local track guys tell me that the cracks become a problem when they extend to the edges of the disc. You're not quite there yet, but it looks bad enough that I'd replace them anyway.

I picked up OEM MR rotors and got Coleman to make some replacement rings for a fair price, if that helps.
also re: Ti shims, I'm hoping they make my dust boots last longer. But meh.

The guys at Colman told me if a fingernail catches the cracks or extend to edge = no good.

I'm running centric premium blank rotors right now. They have held up pretty good so far. It's just that the 2 piece offer better heat dissipation so thats kinda what I'm after. It might be time to add brake ducts though. Can't hurt right? Still have to install my new turbo which is not going to help keeping the brakes cool. So ya, if I am cooking the brakes as is, whats it going to do with another 75 whp? We will see how much the shims and st43s help out.

In my experience that's a negative. I used Ti shims and after installing new seals/boots all the boots were cracked on the first track day out. I didn't lose my brakes to fade either. Using stock brake calipers, dba5000, hawk dtc70, ate superblue.

Pretty much. Dust boots are not any kind of tolerant. If you're really looking at upgrading and you're not driving 20k miles a year on it, then I'd look at the boot-less caliper options like Dallas's Wilwood option if you don't want to squeeze the budget.

I was thinking of going the Wilwood route since it may actually be cheaper. I get something like 50% off from them. I will be lucky to put 2k miles on my car this year so the bootless caliper should be fine for me. I will have to check into it for sure.

I just ordered stock to make 5 sets of Aero6 adapters just to have here. Soooo..

Side note, what discounts do you get on motec and JRR package? Id be looking for M150 and JRR harness for ACD.

What's the biggest rotor size you can support with the base design? Is it safe to use even longer spacers to use the 14.25" rotors? Or even the 15" rotors if things get a little crazy? Or would I need a separate bracket at that point?

Well sounds like I will be pricing out some calipers then. Or maybe I can stop messing around and get some billet uprights that dont need adapters....

I get a really good discount from Motec for personal stuff. For you guys I can probably get 15% of retail. No discount with JRR.

No sh*t. I may have some brand new AiM stuff for sale soon....

Basically comes down to I can have all the alerting with EGT when a injector goes wonky, but that won't tell the ECU to back down very well. Per cyl knock, per cyl egt, ACD control, etc. AEM Inf looked cool but they don't sell a direct 9 harness, and they don't control ACD.

14.25 wouldnt be a problem, 15" is getting pretty long. Would probably want to make the bosses taller but that wouldnt be any problem just wouldnt work with 320mm stock size rotors.
