I have a GTR front wheel bearing here, can confirm they "could" work. They dont use the axle torque to keep the bearings together too and supposedly pretty stout. The Nismo bearings are also available but IIRC it just has a 14mm stud instead of the 12mm.

OEM's Pretty much your only option. IF you can find rears. DSS only makes the 3si ones for some reason.

Get on it son lol. We're all pretty sick of this flaw already.

What he said^^^

Had a couple guys here in SoCal run autozone/advanced auto axles and they had issues.

Got it off the trailer just now! Tapped the axle end, bolted hub back on over splines. Held breath getting it from trailer to garage. Whew!

Found some “Insane Shaft Axles”. Anyone used these? MAP told me DSS were our to Sept???? WTF!

DSS is very very backed up. That's like he 5th time I've heard that in the past month. I've seen good stuff from Insane Shafts but no personal experience.

Let us know what Insane says. Specifically you'll want to verify they're using some kind of high temp, low friction grease in there. Normal grease dies at 300 which these can easily get to.

Will do. Just under $1000 on eBay. Bought full set of “Insane Shaft” axles. MAP had OEM hub/bearings in stock. Got those coming. Then Dallas forced me to buy his SSB uprights (LOL)! Looks like on his advice, I will be putting new bearings in his kit!

New hubs AND studs every time you take that area apart, which hopefully is over a year.

It looks like 1k is for their "1000hp" rear axels? It's confusing to me because their 500hp version looks exactly the same, and is pretty much described the same - but it completely left out any detail on grease. That's why I pointed out talking to them, because buying through eBay now you don't know what you're getting or what kind of support you'll have.

$940 gets you a set of front and rear 500hp axles per their website. It's $2k for a full set of 1000hp. Those 500hp axles aren't a bad deal if they hold up.

Well, I do lol. It's to sell cars I get from the Auctions primarily which requires a Commercial C2 property, and a metric ton of other expensive stuff. Why I didn't get on this sooner I dunno, just the radiator, engine parts, and everything else I did this year I woulda saved a few thousand just by looking for 10 minutes. Hell Dallas's diff's alone, the DSS axels mentioned, good god.

For THIS GROUP, however, if you want to message me privately with part#'s or exactly what you want I'll do what I can to hook you up. Naturally I can't advertise or our two mods would stomp me lol. But Kyoo needs all the help he can get anyway so lol.

Now if I could somehow buy directly from Mitsubishi without going through a dealer....lol. Heard about it but not sure it's a what you know more then a who you know.

I did have another buddy with an account at the place Turn14 bought out (drawing a blank on their name) and that was still more than buying the diffs from Singapore (RZCrew). Maybe cause the exchange rates having an effect or their volume of cusco stuff? We also looked for Volk discount and it was only 10% off MSRP IIRC.
