Ah dang, shoulda said something. I have moved to Alcon 4 pot rear's, and in doing so I have a brand new pair of rear Girodisc rotors, pads, and SS pistons I need to get rid of.

Were you having heat problems in the stock rear brakes?
Generally yes, so I was in the process of rebuilding the rears...again... and fixing it all but then I came across the deal on the Alcon's. I haven't ran the parking brake since 2009, and I wanted a more motorsport grade caliper.
To dry sump or not to dry sump.....that is the question....
Pro's:
Best oiling setup possible, more engine life
Constant VAC to eliminate a host of issues, more engine life
Con's
Living with a dry sump,
priming
oil changes
filter changes
oil over cooling
Do the oil changes add up to more then the replacement engine lol.
sheer complexity and cost.
I’m biased. Just do it! When you mention longevity, cooling, constant pressures, and vac issues resolved in the same sentence.....that’s your answer. Peace of mind on track allows for more focused driving. With a remote reservoir, it’s easy to drill/crank between those long rest periods. Easy! I use a canton racing stainless oil filter (not shown in pic). Always bought a case of oil anyway. Now, it just uses most of it. About 10quarts. Had to put a oil thermostat on b/c car ran so cool. Those late nights or during Fall/winter months, car never got to temp. Ha!
What's the approximate weight penalty of a full dry sump setup? That's almost 40lbs of extra fluid alone. That extra oil, the pump setup, tank, and lines to the trunk start to add up. 80lbs? 100lbs?

A small penalty to pay for engine piece of mind. And it's weight you can put mostly in the rear. Especially since the engine no longer holds 7qts (like a big wet sump).
It's not 40 extra pounds of oil either. An extra gallon of oil is maybe 7-8lbs.
