Toyota said we didn't get the Yaris because it would have cost too much to get it sold here, VS the Corolla. I don't remember the exact details, but made it did make sense. Originally Posted by whtrice

Yup! CARB and EPA.gov would have f****d it for sure. The GR Rolla will be a neutered GR Yaris. Originally Posted by kaj

It's because the GR Yaris is literally a completely different car than the normal Yaris. The GR Yaris is on a totally unique platform. Not even the same chassis. Also 3 doors instead of 5. The only thing it shares with the normal Yaris are the lights, sideview mirrors and rear antenna.Originally Posted by kaj

The GR Yaris is very much a modern day homologation special.

Is homologation even a thing anymore? Someone told me it wasn't needed in WRC anymore.Originally Posted by razorlab

It's pretty roomy once you get in it, but yea, the Supra is way smaller than most photos depict it.Originally Posted by whtrice

It actually kinda makes the GR Yaris look big in these photos, lol

Very sleek looking car (Supra). I might be able to fall in it like Leno does but might have difficulty getting out.Originally Posted by razorlab

I love mine so far! I'm still trying to get a good seating position that doesn't hurt my back. The seats have 14 different adjustments and so far it's been a pain in the *** (literally) to get it just right. More driving time will help. It being winter here now also doesn't help.Originally Posted by whtrice

My son wants to get one. If he does he can help pull me out of it if he lets me drive it. My back is nothing like it used to be. Maybe the Kona N is for guys like me. It's high enough to sashay into it. Originally Posted by razorlab

Yep, that was it. And to make it legal for the US didn't make sense for them. Originally Posted by razorlab

Especially since there aren't enough enthusiasts who would buy it at a marked up for sale in U.S. price.Originally Posted by kaj

they just won car of the year here with the yaris RS. They sold out almost instantly and theres a huge waiting list. everybody who has one raves how good they are. Gazoo just did a GR version of the C-HR which is pretty cool. same bumper style etc as the yaris RS looks like a RS that got hit with a magnifier haha.

Have you looked under your car lately lol. Though one ano'd black would look pretty hawt. But I'd never...ever...keep it black, too many dings and bumps every time I'm in there. I use the CSF OEM on my nicer dealer cars like a Tacoma and a Land Cruiser I sold recently. Super confident in the brand. No issues with either in fit and finish. Cheapest I snagged those was at Rock Auto.
