At my next oil change I may just do 2 BGII + 1 Heavy Shockproof - I'm always up for trying new stuff to get the best combo

They do? That might explain the oil leak on my last one.

Nothing is more fun then changing the alternator on a MK2 mr2!

Well put it this way, anytime I read an article about turbo mr2 it mentions
that it has or once had a head gasket problem. Not sure of the cause, but
I bet it would be easy to find on a board somewhere.

Just got a call from HKS that my EIDS that i sent in to get fixed in november is on its way back. Maybe i will just plug it back in and hope my idle issues are fixed.

i totally forgot that I even had sent that back..

Travman..I want to find out if my ecu is stock or not..do you have any time this week?

yeah I think I will have time tomorrow......I will let you know what time, I usually get home by 6.

That EIDS will probably screw up your car even more now that you have it properly diverted.....its to help cars that are supposed to be DV vent to atmosphere. You don't want to do this now that you have your car working as it should, no telling how it will effect the signal.

Was this thing plug & play or was it spliced in somehow?

From HKS Website:
"The HKS EIDS has been developed to buffer dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations. By buffering these fluctuations the EIDS prevents engine stalling or stumbling associated with sudden imbalances in air/fuel ratio of airflow meter-equipped vehicles that utilize atmosphere venting blow-off valves."

I feel very confident in the typhoon is your culprit.....and fixing that will fix your idle.

there is a plug in the glovebox that is wired into the ECU. The unit just plugs in to that plug.
