Yeah i have 36k on mine and i have no shaking at all - I need to check my pads this weekend though. Probably will throw a set of fronts on by summer (rears should be fine), not worrying about rotors - just going to take my chances

Beleive it or not, but my rear pads were lower than my front pads when I changed to the Hawk HPS.

Dave, the Hawks are decent. Why don't you like them? You do have to heat em up a little bit, but after that I've never really had any issues with them. The squealing is all in the install.

I'm considering the front motor mount and possibly the two sides. I know just the front mount causes a lot of vibration. Supposedly the sides ease the vibration the front causes. ??? What's your take on that, Travis? And Dan, I know you just had one put in yesterday and we talked briefly. Is the vibration that bad and is the trade-off worth it? I'm just weighing all the options. I know some are way different durometers so possibly something softer would suffice?

How hard is it to remove the old rubber mount? I actually have a spare front mount so I could try beforehand. Or is it just easier to buy the pre-pressed mount?

It doesnt cause that much vibration (if at all) if you bump the idle up a little - most people who install these don't have that option. On the IX's they idle lower than an VIII - mine vibrated some and all i did was bump it 100 rpms and it all went away. Justin drove my car around the block at the auto-x and felt it idle, he can chime in to say how little the car vibrated / made noises.

The powerflex is a great mount - I love mine and recommend it. The old mount is cake to get out - a vise, drill, and hacksaw is all you need. You can always go with the blox which is pre-pressed, that is up to you.

if you make the right adjustments with your idle you can make the vibrations go away - also my cabin is less squeaky and rattly than it was before. I think the front is all you need, unless you start making some serious power.

it was actually surprisingly smooth. i expected all the rattles to be amplified, but they were actually barely there, if at all.

the car feels better on acceleration too. you can feel my car pitch backwards everytime you spike the throttle, but travis' car feels much more solid and planted when driving.

One last question... Personally I probably will just buy the pre-pressed mount. The only problem is who the hell sells the powerflex? TTP was the only vendor and they don't have a pre-pressed one.

I know exactly what you mean man, my car feels the same way as yours. I even have a damper too.

The powerflex isnt pre-pressed and I posted a couple links before in this thread a few pages back where to get the powerflex mount

I would get the blox mount, its pre-pressed and gets great reviews.

Or you can get the buschur lower bar: comes with a solid mount and a light weight bar. I will eventually upgrade to this to knock off some weight but until I can afford it the powerflex mount does fine.
