By the way, what kind of paint warranty work?
I dont care if someone wants to drive my car hard as long as I know about it and/or im present - I just hate thinking that someone does it behind my back and doesn't tell me. Thats what valet mode is for - what a great option to have in the stock ecu, soon as it hits 4k rpms the party is over as fast as it begins

The rear quarter panel was bubbling in 2 places and the wheel well was rusting - not all that noticeable but none the less unacceptable on a 2006 thats 1.5 years old. Thankfully mitsu is warrantying it and we don't have to rumble.....because I was prepared to put on the gloves if they didn't.

I want to know more about this valet mode. Is it basically a different map that you have to load? Or is it a feature that can be turned on or off by say... turning the key back and forth 5 times or something???

You set it, flash it, and then you can activate/deactivate by a secret password.

Hey guys, I have been back for two weeks now and I don't know how you guys deal with all the attention evos get around here. I cant do ANYTHING in my car without someone trying to mess with me, its way different than CA was. Anyway, I am ready for a 93 oct tune (pref mustang or dyno dynamics). Can you guys recommend me some places? Thanks!

that's weird, i never get anyone messing with me but cops.

as far as MD's that are close, we are kind of in an odd place. there is CBRD that is out towards mid state, and Buschur over in OH, but no one really close to here.

well, slowboy...but..yeah.

Was the one without a tranny a black 8 cause my friend went up there to have mike put in a new clutch and do some other work.

Ya know, I can't remember if it was black or grey. I don't think it had a spoiler though.

hey guys, i was just going through some pictures of my car, and ran across this one from the big meet last summer. i believe rob took this one. the car looks amazingly clean in this picture, except for one mark one the lower part of the passenger side bumper in the perfect outline of an autocross cone.

i just thought that was amusing. i always seem to hit cones in that exact spot.

I know it's been mentioned a few times on here by other members, but Mike (mitsumaster) from Baierl is definately top notch. Took real good care of me and my car. He even went the extra mile to save me a lot of money. I would definately have great confidence letting him work on my vehicle again.

If anyone is looking for a good service department, I'd definately recommend going to him.

Ughhh, I officially waited too long to buy parts for my car. I decided to not go with coilovers because I decided that suspension is worth more than $875 shipped (I can survive with my Bilsteins - damn you Jeremy for effectively thwarting my temptations)...i'm probably gonna end up going with Stance GR+'s - much better for not much more.

Regardless, I attempted to buy brake parts today as I deemed them necessary for AutoX. Much to my dismay, Stoptech no longer manufactures they're rotors as they merged with another brake company...and the price went up significantly. I couldn't even buy pads as Gruppe-S and SpeedElement were both out of rotors and pads. Freakin' AutoX season...I didnt realize how many people were into it. I'm gonna have to call some other retailers tomorrow and hopefully get them and have them installed before the weekend.

The only things I have ordered are Agency Power brake lines and 2 bottles of Motul 600 fluid. Still need the pads and rotors - you know, the LEAST important stuff before Sunday ...Oh, and Travman, I called RotorPros and all I got was an answering machine . I'll probably be forced to try again tomorrow.

i have heard many good things about the ferrodo pads. not sure about the rotors however.

how bad are your brakes? autocross isn't as intense on those parts as you might think. i am going on 14,000 miles on stock rotors and pads with 20+ autocrosses and 2 kart track events, plus my normal driving. the pads are starting to get a bit close, but i think i could get most of this season out of them.
