I think the Oaks thing doesn't start till 8pm...? I was going to ask if you guys wanted to meet a little earlier as 8pm is getting late (some of us are up early for work). I was thinking we could get this kicked off around 7:30 or so. Anyone object to that?

Also, regarding the track time at Englishtown. I may be interested in this also but its not a real road course. There is ZERO room for run off so if you have a problem it could be BIG. Nothing is graded out (just large mounds of dirt), there is no sand traps to catch you, it could get ugly real quick.

No, I'm not made of $$$ like some of you guys...

I went with Clutchmasters Stg2 and ACT Streelite flywheel. Hopefully I'll like it. My stocker is shot, doesn't slip but chatters like a SOB.

Why are you not signed up for Sunday yet? I just looked at the registration list and your not on there. Up to 97 peeps now...

thats weird the stocker is chattering on you. usually they are the smoothest clutches out there. if you don't want a chattery clutch make sure the one you're getting has an organic disc and that the FW isn't too light. Metalic disc's and light FW's = chattery on take off.

Sunday is kinda up in the air. I'll be there to work tech in the moring & help out but I got some stuff going on at the home front that I may need to be around for.

I'm sure Adam knows what he is doing, but the flywheel bolts will need loctite on them. I believe the street light is steel, but loctite it nonetheless. Wondering if chatter can be caused by a bad throwout bearing?

The stg2 is a full-faced Kevlar disc w/steel backing. Also, I got the ACT because its one of the heaviest lite-weight flywheels (if that makes sense). Hopefully you can make it on sunday. *cough's* money *coughs*

Here's a link for the clutch.

Don't know what the chatter is from, but sometimes/most of the time when I let out the pedal the whole car shakes. Its been like that for long time. I know its the original clutch.

I'll have yo money on Sunday!

chattering from an organic compound is usually caused from an uneven friction surface on either the PP, clutch disc or the FW. Too much slipping or anything that makes exessive heat can cause hotspots which can lead to uneven friction surfaces. Metalic dics just chatter cause they're like an on/off switch and don't like to be slipped.

I want to make it to MOD on the 11th but it looks like one of those huge events where i regret it that day and then all day after once all the pictures and talk about it rolls in. I'll see what happens but it really doesn't look like i can take off that day.

As Pete said, they usually don't get started until about 8pm. We usually hang out until 9:30-10pm.

I might be able to do a little earlier than 8, like 7:45, but that's about it. A few of us are meeting up in Reading at 7pm for the cruise down. So we can't do much earlier....

Do you turn into a pumpkin at 9pm?

pete i feel you about being out on a weekday. i'd rather be on my couch at 830-9pm. Getting up at 5am hurts me dearly.

i can meet up earlier, like 7ish. name the place and time. we can try to meet up with tim and others on the turnpike or just head out there earlier....there are people there around 7.

I like the idea of deing there around 7:30. I'll be taking 202 and 422 no turnpike for me... I too like being on my couch.

Define your def of cheap? Adam aka Evo8dad seems to be one of the more reasonable rates in the area.
