chu, I agree. thats why the nt03's I'm getting will be matte black. WW+matte black = sickness.

there is a vendor Torge Factory doing a group buy on them but it will be a couple months till all the people pay and the wheels actually arrive, so thats out. i found another dude close by with a set that he's letting go, price is a litle on the high side but I should able to knock him down some. If not, Vince @ RT/Tuning is checking what he can get for me. so thats what I'm working with right now... but they will be black and it WILL look bad ***, even if its only bad *** for a couple hours a month

JIm, for DR you're right, the MR wheels are the shiznit, especially with some all season tires on them, At your power level you might want something a little more grippy. 18'x9.5 on a drag car would be a waste, your TC would hate you if it ever got past the first 60'. Too bad we didn't know each other back when I was into drag racing, we would have been dangerious.

if you can't find a durable coating, I like it raw too, chrome on an import car IMO is trashy. much better on american muscle.

FWIW, I've got a ceramic coating on my stock exhaust manifold. Been on there for two years now and it still looks 95% new except for a couple tiny spots around the flange. it was done by your boys @ JNZ finishing.

Thanks for the info Marc. The 18's would definately be for cruising on the street. As for some grippier tires, well if I can manage to break into the 1.6's then I'll be happy with the all seasons. I'll just have to play around with my 2-step, tire psi, suspension....etc before I explore other options. Hey by the way, don't forget about JSCSPEED. They are an authorized Enkei Dealer as well. Vince @ R/T seems pretty cool too. I had his suspension guy Pat set up my coilovers.

of course I can't forget about JSC... I'm going there at lunch to pickup a few parts I ordered this morning

Pat @ RT def knows his ****. I recommend him to alot of people. They will be setting my car up this time with the new setup. I did it myself last time with the help of Adam but it took me about 6 hours... the end result was still awesome, and I learned alot about how to do an alignment, but I'd rather pay someone to do it this time around.

I'll be checking out R/T for an alignment, unless any of you guys have another connection somewhere.

Hey Chu, I almost forgot to respond to the intake mani post. I agree that Buschurs porting doesn't seem that great. I don't think I want to spend any real sum of money on it either so I may just go with the Maperformance v2 like you suggested.

The only thing that really blows is the idea of pulling that bastard off the car. I've been told it's damn near impossible to get to some of the nuts/bolts. I don't think I want that headache unless you guys have another suggestion. I may end up having JNZ pull it and send it out.

Marc, do you know the sales guy Mark that works there? He has a Red Supra. Last time I talked to him he was waiting on some parts to finish up his setup. I think he's looking to make somewhere around 800whp.

Good choice. The V2 is very nice for the price. Remeber the V2 doesn't get the same port work as the V3, hence the enormous price difference. Did you check out Wayne's work at PPI? Check that out also just to weight your options. PPI offers it on and exchange basis, you you get theirs and then sends your in. So no down time. I dont know how MAP does it. Both are great parts though.

Marc, I've seen the Touge Factory editions, and they are very nice, and well priced. However, their claim to be limited edition is utter fail, considering the second run of the batch they're offering. It's not limited if they can always get more made. Anyways, I like your idea with black, go for it.

JIm, I don't know that fellow but I did just see a pupra there. I love JSC. I was able to get everything I needed, it was all in stock and now in the capable hands of my body shop. Can't wait to get the car back, its going to be just like Finebergs only less powerful. muaahaa!!!

Chu, if/when you go to RT hit me up. I'm with in walking distance, come to think of it Jim ain't too far either, same with Brian.

So JNZ quoted me 2-3hrs. Total for removal and installation of the Intake Mani. That's 85/hr x 2-3hrs. So we're talking $170-255. Worth it? I don't mind the labor. It's the injectors and fuel rail that bother me. I don't want to be spilling fuel everywhere.
