TSB stands for Technical Service Bulletin i was just trying to make a joke that went way over ur simple mind

 

yeah, alittle bit. lol. Being out of the car thing for a whole week has gotten to me. lol. Been driving the girlfriends Civic around, so needless to say, I dont think too much of performance. It get great mpg though

 

Jim, I have a similar story to yours although not with such a happy ending. I'll have to tell you next time we meet up, way too much to type out here. Its good you guys could remain friends afterward, says alot about the type of guy you are, IMO.

I think I'm being pretty civil about the whole thing considering the situation...

The lastest chapter in this saga is that Oakes talked to his daddy and now he wants to get a lawyer after me for slander or some BS .
I guess it's OK to post positive reviews, but if you say something negative about someone they feel the need to get all lawyered up.

i've always been treated nicely at fred bean in doylestown. dealerships don't help out much but this one is the best i've found so far. i don't think they'll smile to fondly upon my newly deleted cat setup though.

 

marc not to get involved, publicly, but you did in fact give a negative review and showed a bit of how upset you are with the outcome. it isn't slandering somebody's reputation when they did something with your car that they weren't supposed to. it wasn't similar to jim's situation because he handed the guy his keys to go get burgers and he did just that....he just smashed into a pole in the process.

i don't think that will go far. you'd have a better case with trying to recoup the loss in value from them.

 

I don't think he has a case of "Slander" at all. I'm by no means jumping on the Marc bandwagon here either. I have nothing against Oakes at all. You told your story and explained that he decided to take a customer car for a ride without their consent. It's really a Black/White picture we're painting here. He was wrong and that is that.

 

To clear up what Marc has posted about the slander:

I stated in my voicemail to Marc, that he is relaying of false information of me speeding and wrecklessly driving the vehicle, which was simply not the case. I am not disregarding the fact that I was driving the vehicle or that I was involved in an accident with it. The facts are, yes I drove the vehicle and yes an accident occurred of another drivers fault as stated in the police report and insurance claims. I was not operating the vehicle at unsafe speeds or in unsafe manners like Marc has been stating through his beliefs, which are not fact, as the insurance and police report will prove that I was not speeding or wrecklessly driving.

That is dispersing of false information pertaining to the actual event. He has every right to discuss and post about this incident, I am not challenging that, however when untrue information is involved is where the issue arises. This particular issue should remain between Marc and myself, as for the accident discussion carry on.

 

As much as people hate the triplex, they seem to take care of me...maybe cuz i call them out on all their **** lol they also seem to get the updates from mitsu regularly so they are usually well informed

 

I'm not supposed to have any direct contact with Mr. Oakes, so these posts are in general and directed at nobody in particular.

If someone decides to turn this into a legal issue I sure hope that person has all their ducks in a row. Thats all I can say about that.

Regarding telling this story in public; if people think a couple posts in this HUGE thread are bad... ya'll ain't seen nothing yet.

 

not sure I follow your post Dan. I wasn't talking about the current situation when I was responding to Jim's post, I was talking about something that happened to me (similar to what he went through) a LONG time ago. Its way to long to get into it over the internet, which is why I told him I'd tell him the story next time we meet up. Judging by the progress of his TC that won't be anytime soon

Really dont know how you guys are doing it without your Evo. I've only been away for a week, and want to go home and take a cruise in it sooo bad.
