I've never been up to The Grey Lodge, but I know that it is considered as one of the better beer bars in the city. You've got pull there? Have them put the two Russian Rivers on at the same time.

I've been looking for an excuse to check out the Grey Lodge for some time.

Chu, please organize a Nugget Nectar meet at the GL. Sooner that later, as NN is best served fresh.

Pete, we have to get a night going because I still haven't been to your neighborhood drink lodge yet, and I'm only a few minutes away. i dont think some of these guys will come all the way up to our hood to drink. You can count me in though...I would think Ben and Doug would come through!

lol thats right, you have never been there, what a slaker!! When ever I mention going there it's like ben is already there lol and doug will usually show up on a moments notice!

I can email the owner and possibly set a date for the cracking of the NN or at least get notice if he has a date already planned..

They had a russian river imperial stout last year that I got to try, it was delicious! It was tough choice because that night they had some crazy blackberry barleywine on the hand pump that went like hotcakes and may have very well been the most intresting beer I have ever had lol, it was actually purple!

Thanks ImportJunky, I heard IveyTuned is a great local shop. Are they a vendor on this forum?

I noticed that ImportJunky. This RA is my daily, it only has about 7k on it and still under warranty so I'm not all that worried yet. Don't plan to push it too hard, I will have my fingers crossed just in case. Don't need problems on my first day out.

Green flash is THE west coast IPA, how could you not care for it?!?
Never touched an RA but the "workings" are identical to an X MR..
Like Chu said, its too bitter for me. My brother in law didn't think I would like when I told him I wanted to try it. He was right.

Maybe you should pull some strings to obtain large glasses???

They are or were only selling Bombers at the brewery. Capones in Norristown got some bottles, but there is a limit of 1. I think that Jose Pistoles and TJ's (Paoli) put it on tonight, and there is a Firkin coming to the Piazza in Northern Liberties on the 17th. http://www.troegs.com/events.aspx

If I were in Alabama, I would be seeking moonshine. You'de have to consume it down there though, as a bottle could probably blow up an airplane.

I've heard that Terrapin has some good beers. I think they may have just started distributing to Philadelphia.
That would be nice... too far for me to be downing NN and then driving home though. I got to stick to the one across the street.

Switching subjects... I'm going to The Buck tomorrow night for tractor pulls. Should be interesting with all this rain today. I've never been before, any of you guys? I know its just redneck heaven, should be a good time.

My ears are honed for this type of talk!! Count me in no matter the date. Would def like to be there for the punkin' ale, love that stuff.
And yes the food is quite awesome there. However we need to call it by its proper name, it would be an insult not to:
