3Bar=29.4 psi on boost gauge

Who and or why would you ever run more boost than the boost sensor is capable of reading?

When you do this you cannot account for the amount of boost the car is producing, not a wise idea.

This long? How long do you think this has been going on? Your not going to find out if and what is going to happen until it does, ESPECIALLY with a motor so new to the industry. If it was the 4G63, i would see your point, but we are working with the 4B11, a motor very few have attempted to test.

The who would be myself and DG, the why is cause i can and because i want to. Thanks for letting it worry you, let me do the worrying

What codes did you get if you don't mind me asking?
I'm having my issues at only 25 psi on 91.

People have been modifying X's for a while now, running 30 psi on them for a while also, no?

Just saying, not exactly confidence inspiring if it is a 3 bar sensor!!!

Best of luck.

My situation sounds exactly the same but it does not always happen... its like throttle closes then suddenly all power back pulling like a train. Tends to happen higher up the rev range. I am sure we are using the map sensor off an Apexi AVCR aswell I was thinking of trying another set of coils and if that dont change anything then go straight for the okada project items as they are apparently 4 times the ampage of stock.

Mine tends to do this and then the maf goes... since fitting my second brand new MAF it has not happened, i have the car with my tuner now for some map tweak and maybe bigger MAF tube, he will be looking into the ignition system etc..

Regards,
GUM

3 bar is stock, no? We were and are only going to change what needs to be changed to complete our task/goals for this project. Now that we know that the Stock Map Sensor isn't going to work for us, we will change it. This is about as minor as changing the plugs or even changing the oil. No Big Deal...

AVC-R has a boost sensor, not a map. I think you mean the Apexi Power FC maybe? Good Luck with your situation, please keep us updated!

No one is **** talking you, DG or anyone else. We were just pointing out the fact that DG is using an excessive correction factor.

Best of luck with the car, no need to blow the engine though.

Lol all I'm saying is that when it blows i hope someone catches it on camera, or at least has a camera near so we all can see the aftermath shortly thereafter.

My engine didn't look cool or do anything awesome when it blew up.

So i feel like i got jipped on that one.

Anyway good luck with the end product whatever it may be!

Codevo:

I see you got a lot of work done by Kevin and Denver, what kind of numbers is your car running. Can you send me a pm? I am looking at what it puts down with your type of mods, you have a list similar to what I am looking at.

We have pushed stock and stock appearing turbos past 30psi on the stock ecu with no problems...This much larger turbo is more likely hitting the higher loads it should be hence our map sensor issue hopefully.

Is the car going to be run at the track after it meets the dyno goal? The ETS X just went 10.8@133.
