At work as well, normal hours as I can work from home. Made it in fine actually got a wave from an SUV to pass as I was charging up behind but I didn't feel the need to pass 3 SUVs at a time that upsets people.

Driving around last night was too much fun. Chu got pulled over for having a good time. People get pissed as **** with you if you pass them as they sit slowly getting stuck or limited to 5MPH in the snow, even the 5.0 don't like it. You can't be having fun if people are driving in a frozen snowy hell. If I'm in the civic and an EVO or other AWD comes racing up behind, I will move of or stop to let them pass. Is that really difficult?

To them were hooligans. I cant imagine how much dedicated snows helped you guys last night. I'll admit, it got a little dicey on the turnpike around 10pm. Made my sphincter squibble! O__o

Yes! Most people really don't care, or feel like they are better than you for not letting you by. If only they can see how dumb they look driving in the middle of the road.

i have a real problem with people thinking their cars and sometime skills are so good that they can glue themselves to your bumper on a backroad in the snow.

while you believe snow tires and awd will lessen your risk of crashing into something or someone it is also your responsibility to see that it doesn't happen and recognize all potential risks before you destroy your's and some else's personal property.

that's my feeling on the matter. tearing up a snow covered parking lot is great but wrc'ing your way past soccer moms on a thursday morning isn't so much. perhaps i'm still very bitter since it took $15k to fix my brand new evo 2 winters ago due to the lack of foresight on some mouth-breather's part.

good thing i like my car so much because i'll get killed financially if i tried to sell it or trade it in.

I don't have an opinion other than the fact that our first even is the same weekend I'm doing NJMP w/PCA.

I agree man. Even though people do some really dumb things, my rule is that if your driving even a bit aggressive or going faster than the crowd, whatever happens is your fault. You have to leave lots of margin.

That's why trying to have fun in the snow can be so frustrating. I'll only pass someone if it is safe to do so. If there is anyone walking around, its back to normal speeds for me! I would like to see a bit more courtesy from people that dont bother buying snow tires, but given the amount of horrible things people do to each other around the world, its not really worth getting worked up over

alot of people think just because you can turn and go fast in the snow with an evo means that it will stop just as fast

people get in accidents stopping their vehicles in the snow.. not because they are going fast

co-driver, if you want to sign up for the HPDE I'd say you have probably a few weeks to a month, maybe more to think about it. The registration is @ 40 something last time I checked and I believe they cap it around 180. Novice groups fill up first usually though so don't hold me to that time.

that is so true. all these people/milfs driving around blue bell in their AWD porsche SUV's think their going to stop as quick as they go... boy are they in for a surprise when the time comes.
