I have seen it before, on the passenger side strut tower their is a fuse that says FWD. We used to have to run them on the dyno for emissions. I think most of them were mid to late 90's. Im not sure how it disabled the awd from working.

 

i just read if you put a fuse in it disables it. A/t only because they have an electronic controlled center diff.

 

that makes sense...the electronically controlled diff.

i guess it was probably for the purpose you used it for and once obdII scans started being the normal they may have done away with them......i'm talking out of my a$$.
