Just ordered me up so new carbotech XP12's for the front and XP10s for the rear. gotta setup my brake game for hard parking events. saferacer.com has some good deals with the 10% SCCA member discount.

I'm gonna get some track pads. My goal is to run a track day (at least one) at njmp this summer. Chu, was telling ms he was going through a half tank of gas per session this past weekend. I bet with my inexperienced driving skills I could run e85 there as long as I brought enough with me. My only concern before was lasting through a whole session.

Anyone have a SA2005 closed-face helmet I can borrow for 2days? Apparently you can't wear an open-face in NJ, even though the registration requirements for this event make no mention of that at all.. wtf!

IMO, I would be worried running e85 for the simple fact that you MIGHT run out and have no where to refill. also watching your gas gauge and having to limit your right foot because of it might come back to bite you in the *** by the end of the day when you're trying to get around that 911 turbo.

F Chu. I asked that little bish for an update and he never got back to me.

i could have sworn its says it clearly in the reg requirements before you sign up, but who really reads those things.

Oh yea, NJMP's rule is a full face helmet. Also, if anyon didn't know this already, NJ state troopers are allowed to give out speeding tickets within the confines of the track, so be careful and follow the speed limits when movinaround the track.
Marc, I didn't forget you baby! I wasbusy all yesterday, and couldn't get on this morning. When's your next track day?

you're right. I just checked the site and schattenbaum doesn't list it in their reg requirements. NNJR and RTR PCA do, but Schattenbaum does not.
Hopefully you can find someone with a full faced helmet to borrow because i know for a fact they can not bend that rule as its brought on by the NJ state police and they are there enforcing it!
Maybe you can buy one and return it when your done, just say it didn't fit... I know someone who did just that.

Believe me, if I had know they were gonna do that I wouldn't have bought an open-faced last fall. If I have to buy another helmet (which I do), that will be 3 in 3yrs.
Thanks, Jeff. I owe you, big time!
