Friday, May 13. NJMP Lightning with PCA Shattenbaum. I'm doing it! $190 for non-pca members.

 

How are you guys mounting your race seats in your cars? I want to eliminate my buddy club slide rails. Can side mount brackets for race seats be welded to the floor? I guess the other option is to drill holes and use metal plates and bolts to secure side mount seat bracket to floor. Problem is Evo floor is not flat. Just want to do this on the cheap, save weight but do not want the seat ripping out on me...

 

Mike, my friend Thai has his hard mounted. I'll ask him to send me pics and forward it to you. I think he used regular side mounts, and welded brackets to it and bolt the entire thing to the stock location, of course accounting for his seating position.
