Just want to do this on the cheap, save weight but do not want the seat ripping out on me...
If you ever look at the crx I drive at the autox it has a custom slider and mount to the floor. NateDogg creations in lansdale did it. I'm sure he can do something similar for yours. Or just mount it to the floor some way. I can't say on the price but he can get it done.

Mike, I know VAC motorsports has been making seat brackets for all makes. The one dude in charge of it just returned after a bad car accident. Want me to find out more details on it?

I actually stumbled on them through a google search and spoke to some English guy there. Real nice guy, he actually made me laugh when he told me to come to the sonic meet coming up soon. I said dude, I am 41 years old and I don't hard park so no thanks! He laughed actually.. They said they would make me up a real sweet aluminum piece for the car that would bolt in stock seat mount location but it would be a couple hunge that I do not want to spend plus the cost of side mount brackets. I am thinking of removing slider mechanism from either my stock or buddy club seat rails. Then I guess I will be getting a cheap side bracket to mount to the piece that screws to floor. This whole thing is a pia.

Other option is this

Passenger Side:

Local place - Parsons Fabrication 610-495-5090 has them already made up but they are a little heavy for me. The guy is calling me tomorrow with weight and also if he can lighten them up for me. I will say this seems to be a real nice way of securing an aftermarket seat for track days if I was going to bolt it in to floor (not a roll cage). Way stronger than stock bracket (it looks that way in pic) and uses stock mounting location. My guess is its about 6 lbs. from the pic. My Buddy Club slider rails are 12 lbs I think.

Well thanks anyways Dan....

Thai's car looks good! All bzns.

Mike, those mounts look similar to the ones in my car. On the driver side, there's a slider bolted in between the side mounts and the floor bracket. On the pass side I just bolted the side mounts straight to the floor bracket.

I just got pulled over by West Norriton PD for my 'illegal exhaust'. He gave me a fix it ticket, and was ordered to remove it within five days. I got him up to ten, but still WTF? My exhaust is one of the quietest EVO TBE's you'll find, AND I was doing 25mph when he saw me.

I'm not sure whether it is worth fighting, or whether I should just throw the OEM on for a few hours.

Has anyone dealt with one of these?

ben, just throw the cat back on and say it's stock. i hate norristown cops. they have millions of speed traps where they give you preprinted tickets. i once got caught in one and didn't even have my license. i told the cop my license number and that apparently was good enough for him. i'm just waiting for the day to get pulled over for exhaust......there's like 15 harleys in my neighborhood too.

pete and mike, most of the guys at VAC are lebonese.
