Killing Bin Laden was necessary to prove a point, but it is only a symbolic move. It accomplishes nothing in the long run and in fact puts us at even greater risk of another attack. Had it taken place in October of 2001 it would have sent a much more meaningful message. Instead some dumbass bureaucrat stuck his nose where it didn't belong and the Delta/CIA operatives who were within 300 yards of killing him in the Pashtun region of Afghanistan were called off. Don't get me wrong, he had to die but terrorism won't go away until radical Islam is subdued. It's not Bin Laden who made them angry. It's the hateful ideology that's been beaten into a small group in the remote regions for thousands of years. That's all they know and he fed into it. Unfortunately nothing breeds followers faster than hate and people like him have found ways to turn peaceful people into "holy warriors" so his group grew even larger. Most of those fighters are only looking for a paycheck and some meaning to a very very hard life. It's no different than **** Germany. They only followed him because they were lost and desperate and Hitler knew how to twist that fear to serve his purpose. Al Zawahiri will take over now and the whole thing will continue until we find a way to stop or redirect them. I know what I'm talking about. I am a colonel after all.

haters gonna hate!

seriously though islam is a religion founded by a 7th century warlord. the fundamentalist practice exactly what muhammed preached. it the one that we now call "moderate muslims" or "peaceful muslims" that give us the impression it is a peaceful religion. in the quran muhammed said that when one of his "prophesies" contradict another one that the most recent verse supercedes the last. it pretty much wraps up with muslims having to be at war with all nonbelievers. and when encountering a nonbelieve he is either to submit and convert or meet the sword.

it's a lovely religion.

Bin Laden being taken out is a good thing, no one should be alive who caused such pain for so many others. It makes me happy in a strange away and I feel a sense of pride in our Armed Forces for getting this done.

I remember the being on a job site while the towers were falling. People were huddling around little 13" TV's that were in the office I was in crying. Neve rin my life have I experienced anything like that. Sept. 11th freaked me out to the point I went out and bought a 9mm Ruger.

Regardless of the political motives or the right or wrong in executed someone with a bullet to the head, the 'fer had it coming. It a shame it took 10 years to get it done, but at least its done.

Sometimes the timing of life is wonderful. I drop my truck off at the body shop this am. I get a call from my wife this afternoon that my hot water heater is leaking. Get home and check it out... the tank is gone and I need a new unit. Only problem is my truck is in the shop until Thurs Fortunately the leak is slow enough I think I can limp it along for another couple days. If only it started one day sooner or three days later.

I cannot believe the Flyers just lost. Why did they take Bob out after a stellar performance in the second period. If Boosh was hurt he was hurt, sit him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why could we not score tonight! It was ridiculous the amount of shots on goal we had and could not put one in. Thomas was absolutely stellar as well as JVR. I am buying my son a JVR shirt tomorrow. Required gear for day care.
