I spoke with the event organizer and got everything confirmed. 5 (20) minute sessions per day for GTA guys. this event is going to be chock full of nguyen.

 

I took the Evo out for a drive last night and came across at car meet of sorts so I stopped. I feel a little dirty for hardparking. There were some nice kids out. The one dude with and Evo X wanted to do a little street race on the highway on his stock car. I did not oblige him.

i know this has been covered a million times but I dont have time to search. whats the deal for the event aug 13/14th? its the porches and planes right?

my pops keeps bugging me about signing up since he wants to try the evo out around some cones. let me know and ill see if I can get us both reg'd.

in other news I can't focus on work what-so-ever knowing by this time tomorrow I'll be blasting around the glen for the first time. some very interesting cars in my group too.

 

wtf, that's more sessions than NASA TT, but our sessions are usually 25 minutes. if i wasn't chasing for Hoosier tires with NASA TT, i would cancel it and run GTA since it's cheaper anyways.

 

hmm marc ill look into that. i have been dying to get out on the track just too busy. I wana do shend as well. You are going to love it, for real.

if youve never been up there your going to have such a fun freaking time. super fast, some nice technical turns, high speed straight, elevation changes etc. amazing, great town, good people. you'll have a blast.

stop by ithaca and get some fresh flower power! if your up all weekend lmk if you want some recs, spend 4 years up there. have fun!

A g35, 18 passenger van and 2010+ camaro tried to race me yesterday, must be the nice weather.

The g35 was kinda funny, he followed me into an exit ramp and pushed really wide. Wondering if him and his buddy had an "oh ****" moment. lol

Of course, he showed me who was boss by riding my tail and cutting two lanes of traffic in order to beat me out of the exit. I guess having a luxury car doesn't mean you aren't a ricer.

Marc, you called me out. I was aware of it and knew one of the local X owners I see around was there. Having been out on a ride in the first place I'm still sticking with my "I stumble upon. A car meet of sorts" angle. Thank you very much.

Pete, it was in dtown by the home depot. I was out at my mother's house before and figure why not stop by. They were young but nice kids. I wasn't about to race on the 30 bypass with all those people around and state troopers nailing speeders at any given moment. Plus I don't know what he expected the outcome to be running a stock tune against someone on e85.

Also it's about 5 hours to watkins glen. It's a really nice drive. Once you're off 476 and on 80 or 81 (don't remember) it really is a pleasant ride. I believe I took rt 15 through Williamsport and into NY and that is such a scenic route.

I do admit that my actions last night have me feeling like an alcoholic who fell off the wagon.

 

I was hoping to, but it looks like I have the option of climbing in Rumney that weekend. Not sure which to do. I'm pretty sure ill give the new AC lot a chance this sunday. Hopefully I wont get raped and/or robbed.

so $147 for tire installation and an alignment. SCCA discount ftw! Only annoyance is that the car pulls a bit to the right. I should have turned around immediately, but was in a rush. Now i have to go back and have them fix it, grrr. Next time I am definitely planning on a short road test afterwards.

 

Where did you get it aligned?

 

I'm planning on teh ride up to the glen being 4hrs... best not take more than that cause Im leaving at 7pm tonight.

 

Kenny, didn't whoever aligned it take it for a road test?

Pat at RT always takes my car for a test after an alignment to make sure it still power shifts, launches and four wheel drifts ok.
