If thats the case you guys should check for endplay. Thats how I found out I had crankwalk on my old GST. It would also lead to hard shifting and clutch wear since the flywheel would move in and out with the crank.

That was probably the worst day of my automotive life. I was at a stop light, started to pull away and the motor locked up and stalled the car. I was screwed for like 3 months and had to hitch rides to work with coworkers and my boss at the time. It sucks being a poor 23 year old with a broke *** car. My prospects for getting some sticky were few and far between that summer.
