Don't all the groups get the same amount of runs in? Whats the disadvantage to running last? Sorry for the nubness

unless you work heat #4, you can leave early
but then course might be a bit faster later for later heats? (less debris, more rubber)

Your car seems to be pretty comparable to the other SM cars. Maybe a small power disadvantage? You have the best tires for sure...
I think a lot of us EVO drivers who now AX went thru the same thing. We modded our cars to our liking, not knowing a thing about SCCA class rules. Once we got bit by the AX bug it was already too late. Originally Posted by evremonde

Any street tire car is going to get WAXED in a modified/prepared class, those classes are pax'ed with slick cars in mind. if you want to run street tires and be competative you need to be in STU...

Totally agree. I kept saying if I could start over, I'd be competing in stock class. Originally Posted by AlwaysinBoost

Does a tune take me out of stock class? Only modifications right now are just my downpipe, testpipe, and some coilovers coming in this week.

Why are you giving me the thumbs up, because I posted up and asked or because you want to run last? I don't want to run last, I wanna go first so I can go home.Originally Posted by AlwaysinBoost

Newbies can run whereever they wnt, and no one would give a damn!
Proper ruling says no however, as you guys have tempered with the boost settings. I believe you could tune the car, but cannot alter boost settings. Stock class rules allow very little work. I do believe a cat-back exhaust is allowed, however. Also allowed is stock replacement intake, and front sway bar.

with what you have listed you could run in STU assuming you have stock 17" sized tires that are no wider then 245mm and have a UTQG rating of 140 or higher. a tune is fine as long as you don't touch the boost. if boost is messed with you'll probably be in BSP. Originally Posted by BBS

Seriously though, I don't know how the X's fall into the SCCA classing. Robert might. if you seriously want to know I can find out for you, but I get the impression you're not serious...

I do plan to run an event. The one thing that kills the whole allure is the fact it takes up my entire sunday, which is a sacred day for me and not for religious reason.....more for drug and alcohol reasons.
