seriously making me want to take it off i want to race so bad.

and apparently i wont be able to use my harness either since i dont have one for an instructor. so if i get in a firey crash, they want me to die if the instructor is going to die. makes sense, why use a safer seatbelt that helps me drive better, when i can use the good ol' knee and elbow trick....jeez see what happens i guess
the tint he's talking about is just for the back window, right? The other windows will be down, so it shouldn't make a difference. Hopefully the pics will be enough, I'd hate to see you have to pull that off.

about the belts; alot of org's. don't recognize 4-point harnesses as safe, because technically they aren't, thats another discussion though. The Ralley ASM is starting to be accepted by more and more groups. I think what he was talking about though was the same level of protection for you and your instructor. Makes sense if you think about it, you wouldn't feel very safe in someones car if they had a seat belt and all you had was the OHH **** bar to hold on to.

Once you're signed off on to drive SOLO you can wear whatever you want. thats when it REALLY gets fun

you don't understand, chau, girls didn't do any of that stuff when i was younger.

i know some of the ages of those girls are questionable on there but i think my head would have exploded if i had access to something like that in high school. we didn't have the internet in high school....well we had prodigy and what not and it took like 25 minutes to download movie showtimes at the local theater.

cell phones and internet has really changed things. you know how many chick in my high school i've seen naked other that the ones i was responsible for getting that way? none. now it seems chicks take pictures of themselves and send them to their bf and suddenly everyone in school has a copy of it.

god bless the internet and camera phones.

also i worked for sprint when the first camera phone came out. it took pictures like a blind person paints pictures.

So use the stock belts? You planning to chasing the track record or something?

maybe I am chu, maybe I am haha

and yea he only meant the rear window, sides dont matter. pulling that off the rear, being glued on, and with the heat strips across the back, would be awful. obviously 5 points are better, but the scroth 4pt ASM with camlock has served me well, and been recognized as safe by other organizations, otherwise I would chop a hole in my seat.

he was talking about the same level of protection for driver and instructor. i understand why, just annoying. hate the make the drive all the way up then have to sit and watch, I would be PISSED.

how long does it usually take to get signed off and okay to go solo?

Go to a tint shop for the rear window. Its not expensive and will save you the headache of trying to removed the glue without damaging the heat strips!

depends on your driving ability and how safe your instructor feels you are out on course... everyone is different. My buddy Dan was signed off to go SOLO his first day (after two session actually) but decided to keep the instructor with him for the whole weekend. It took me two days to get signed off, but I was on a very techincal track and I'll still take an instructor with me whenever I can for both AX and HPDE... I figure I'm paying for track time so I might as well learn something in the process.
