BTW, Orthodontist is where its at, or so I'm told. A good friend of mine whom I race with has his own practice and he is setup well. Only works 4 days a week, has several 'toys' including an Aston Martin, Porsche and a couple air planes. Not to mention he races all the damn time, lol.
yeah thats what i hear as well, thats so sick he gets to race all the time. At first i thought i shouldn't pursue this career because i wasn't in love with it, but im beginning to realize im interested in it because i was in a horrible accident as a teenager that destroyed my front teeth and the dentist saved all of my teeth and fixed me up damn near perfect. So maybe i hope i can do that someday for someone.

Anyway, i think its a difficult challenge that i should make a good attempt at, and if it pays off it pays off. Every other person ive talked to says to go for it so im leaning in that direction.

as long as its something you enjoy, which is sounds like it is, I'm sure you'll be successful at it.

Come back out to the track some time next year with me and I'll introduce you do Tom the Orthodontist... he's a really cool dude and I know he would have no problem letting you pick his brain about the business.

I have an opportunity to probably make about 40k a year working with my father and living at home, or i can bite the bullet and go to school for 5 more years at dental school. Anyone have any advice or suggestions???

My reasoning for dental school is
- professional career
- prestigious
- opportunity to give back and travel to other countries to help those less fortunate
- job security
- I should be able to buy a **** load of awesome cars and race every weekend
stay in school and get an advanced degree that will give you specialized skills that people will pay lots of money for.

$40k isn't much when you go out to live on your own.

and not get impatient if you aren't immediately successful. Even with a big time degree you need to do something with it to get rich.

I know this has been covered, but who likes what Mitsu dealers in the area? I know that there are quite a few of you that are not fans of D'Ambrosio. How about Cherry Hill Mitsu?

I need to go to a dealer as it sounds like my drivers door window regulator is about to break. Kind of ironic that the non-power version ends up failing. Anyway, my warranty expires in the spring, so I might as well get this thing taken care of while i have the free time.

cherry hill mitsu did my timing belt. No issues, just make sure to haggle the price a bit

Their part dept. is pretty competent in my experience.

Cherry hill parts guys are top notch. They know their stuff and LOVE evos. Most of them don't even require a vin (aka they know their parts). Their service dudes are cool as well. Two of the asians working their drive evos. That being said, their sales staff are a bunch of crooks.

Fred Beans knows nothing about evos, period.

Cherry Hill is the place to go for parts. They're cheaper then Mitsubishiparts.net from my experience. Dont know about service though...

Speaking of service, anyone needing to deal with Ohlins, Joey Petree is the MAN! I've been bugging this guy to no end about getting an adjustment knob for my coilovers. They're hard to find as they're alittle older. Well, I got a call today and he has a slightly used one for me. I should be able to adjust my rebound...!!!!!

yeah, their sales people are really sketchy. I was looking at some RA's for a friend. Once he heard i had an evo, he starting telling me about how they put a "big" turbo in one of their cars and then took it off and sold the car.

he also said if we come back earlier in the day we can take one on 295 and "wind it out"

meanwhile his teenage daughter was following us around texting and staring at me. Just plain awkward all around.

I've called up Ch.err.y Hill Mi.tsu and D'A.mbr.osio. The last time I needed a part identified properly (because I'm a nub) D'S.LAmb.rosio emailed me a diagram which was nice. I've had no issues with their Parts folk so far, but I'm just starting out.

Although I wouldn't go back there to buy a car ever again. Maybe a drive and ditch but that's about it.
