Got a chance to talk to Terry, the owner, and their hire guns Whit Staple and Todd Reid about the FAs. Its seems very legit. The fact that they can rebuild them is even better. I haven't heard anything bad from the guys who own them and track them either. Like Honda-guy, I'm also thinking of getting then next season.

Nelson had Terry help him setup his FA 500s at the GTA event back in August. NOt as stock as my Bilsteins/GT Worx yo! Ineedmorehelp!

i know ineedmoreexcuse has FA 510 on his Evo9, but he's still slow as heck on track though, i don't think it has to do with the coilovers though.

dont get me wrong, i would do questionable things for a set of ast's/ohlins, but id rather put any extra shadily earned money towards consumables/track time.

im currently on bilsteins/gtworx also. love em, but the spring rates were quickly exposed as an issue, and im not sure swapping to swifts will be worth it (plus i couldnt ride that low where i currently live).

ive been trying my darndest to find a decent reveiw of the FA stuff, but so many times people just get flamed when asking because most people think its the typical chinese crap. one decent write up i found was on s2ki, and 1 or 2 guys were complaining about some characteristics on track that sounded like a valving issue...but since they race two evo's i feel somewhat confident they know how to set them up for my car.

i dont think a set of 510's with swifts/helpers/roller bearings would set me back much more than $1800, which is a price point i can probably swing...

I believe the casing and stuff are Chinese, but the valve technology is German. I remember reading it a long time ago when I started researching. I know they've already gone through 4 revisions over the few years they've been in existence, and the current UDDP is supposedly the best. I was advised to get the 510s over the 500s and Dreadnaughts from Terry himself.

I had the Paul Gerrald/Vishnu Ohlins prior. One thing about Ohlins, and some other high-end coils is that they are very expensive to rebuild. I sent mine out to PSI, and they quotes me $1000 to $1200 to rebuild all four. These are single way adjustable, so I can't imagine the newer DFV and FLAG lines. Like you, I'd rather spend the money of seat time and consumables.

yeah the version 4's look nice. i had been planning on adding the ciro designs camber plates to my current setup over the winter, and was quietly expecting massive improvement from adding caster...but im starting to think otherwise. and thats 300 bucks i could throw into the coilover budget instead.

hmmm which one of us will jump on a set first? lol

Do you have camber plates on your Bilstein/GTWorx set-up?

I have the same set-up but with plates (my struts are MR, not HD), and to be honest, I get on pretty good with the way the car is now. I would like a little bit of a stiffer spring, but also like you my car can't be too low as I wouldn't be able to pull up my driveway.

I take it you just DE the car? Thats as all I do, for now at least... I think this set-up is the best of both worlds. Comfort vs Performance.

What other suspension mods you have, I saw you have sways... anything else?

There should be a law against coming back to work the week after a hurricane.

It took me 1.75 hours to get to work today so all the whiny b!tches must be back at work.

I was getting to work in 40 minutes during the storm.
