^I know that line, lol. Man, the whole straighten out when off is so ingrained in my head, its almost automatic. I'll post my off in turn 2 tonight.

So Marc runs 1:40s. My logger showed me 1:41 with passenger. I'm possibly as fast as Marc. hmmm. LOL.

Luckily I had the camera on when I had two sketchy moments. Not sure about Marc, but I shat a little coming onto the main straight.

your passenger was lighter than mines...
I was on the rwd line and you were on the awd line
the track is setup for a JDM 5sp, not a UDM 5sp.

With such little experience, I wasn't sure what you were going to do in those two situation, but you did well. Didn't over-correct or get too fast with your inputs and kept the car pointing in the right direction. thats all I can ask for.

not going to lie, I wasn't thrilled about you going so fast with nothing between me and the elements except for a thin piece of door skin. (get that damn door bar installed before you take another passenger). Had you not been so level headed and done everything I asked every single time I asked I might have refused to get back in the car after one shession (for my safety only).

I didn't think of this before, but don't you techincally have to have the same/equal safety equipment for both people? Would a cage or bracing fall into the category?

I coudn't concentrate with all the yapping in my ear.
Tire pressure was too high
My car lean too much
I was faster, but the track wasn't there.

I have them both on video - I'll upload them soon. You can hear me stay in it all the way into the last turn before the straight. I sure as hell didn't do that again the rest of the weekend. I puckered up, LOL, but I'm glad things went smoothly.

I fully understand. I was under the impression that I was going to have that all set up AT THE LAST EVENT. I wasn't expecting to come down to NJ with no door bar - and it did not make me happy. I would have fully understood if you refused to get back in the car. Safety is no joke, and like you said, there's really nothing there.

I wasn't even sure I was going to pass tech because of it, but I was assured by KT that I would - and I did, obviously - but it's definitely not something I want to run with again.

I thought the same thing. This is why I thought I wasn't going to pass tech and wasn't going to be able to run this weekend. I thought every little piece had to be the same for both sides - cage, padding, seat, belt (I need to upgrade that pass belt for you, Marc).

Not sure how NARRA words their rules but cage bars are not part of passenger restraint (seat/harness) which need to be equal rating for driver and passenger. Door bars are not always required...most sanctioning bodies are requiring a sill bar on passenger side as a minimum.

Marc, you are braver (or dumber [or both]) than me because if there is no x-brace or factory door beam, I am not getting in that car. ...but seeing how you still run with no HNR, I'm not surprised you did.

I didn't. They did not arrive on Friday. I ran DTC70 all weekend and didn't have any braking issues. I'll try the 60s at the next event.

Join EFI Logics and NASA on the North Course. The weather man, who is always right, says low 70's and sunny.
EFI is one of the only shops which actually attends events, provides track support and offers tech training, so support them (*I have no affiliation with EFI but I support their mission).

There will be DE1-4 plus an Instructor Clinic.
