New delrin shift knob is almost ready to go. Just need to counter bore it and tap for the proper EVO threads.
I had to add some vinyl, black and white always looks good you know!

Track day this Wednesday evening. Going to try and grab some data on the effect of the cooling ducts. Maybe it will stop raining - worst June ever, feels like March. But Wednesday is supposed to be OK, sunny and mid 70's.

Pah!

My driveway an hour ago packing things up.

Got the inlets of the brake ducts taped up for testing the first part of session 1.

I might have to pick one of these shifters up from you. I like the idea of being closer to my hand and having an increased lever ratio....that and I need to give the greddy knob I have been borrowing from Billy back.

^^ Ah yeah. Don't use the resin I did. I have a massive allergic reaction going on right now from it getting on my skin while it was still a little tacky after curing. I had it happen big time when I did the wing and the dermatologist couldn't figure out what caused it. I just did a little project with some carbon fiber on Sunday evening and now the reaction is back and I finally connected the dots that it is the resin I'm using. Shell DHP boooo! I need to respect these gnarly chemicals more as well.

Had a fun time at the track, I'll have video later.
Had a little scare driving to the track, under any sort of load the car was bogging down and sputtering severely. It had no acceleration and sounded like butt. So now I'm paniced because it has been running perfect and on the way to the track it craps out on me. So I get to the track and unload all my gear and start looking over the car. I pulled the plugs and they looked good, I then check all the IC pipes for loose fittings, holes, or cracks - nothing. Pulled the airbox open, removed the intake pipe checked the MAF, and turbo shaft - Good. Then I remember my tape on the inlets of the brake ducts in the bumper. The drivers side shares the inlet for the airbox as well as the brakes. When I taped it off I knew I was taping off the airbox cold-air feed tube, but I thought the airbox could scavenge air from more places than just the cold-air feed tube. Turns out my airbox is pretty well sealed. Because I pulled the tape off, put the intake back on and went for a quick pull and the problem was gone. So that was a fun little curve ball.
Track was crowed and people kept going off or busting so we got shorter sessions, But I'll see if there is some fun footage to share.

You may be allergic to ALL resins from overexposure.
gurit guide to composites might say something about it... but I remember it from my composites class. You might be doneski!
