LR 2.4 and MAP EF4 build thread
Damn Steve, car looks good. Hit me up, we'll go back out to Applebees for the unveiling of the two gray beast's!
My car is still being tuned remotely by Tom@VRSF car is getting faster every night! Can't say enough good things about it.
We gotta hang out soon, let me know when you get a day off.

Time for an update!
I had to replace my mivec gear for the time being with a new one because something is up with my other one after doing the mivec gear mod, thatll get figured out eventually. So that was installed, then my friends AMS timing belt tensioner tool snapped while compressing the tensioner, apparently the tool is a cheap piece of s*it because it was CLEARLY a failure of the tool, and not because it was used improperly since there is only ONE way to use it, you either use it properly, or you dont lol. So we had to basically go thru the regular timing belt replacement procedure to get the belt off to replace the gear.
Once that was all done...now, NO MORE SPARK!? This was eventually traced back to the crank position sensor not sending the signal. It had power and ground though. So, now that will be replaced in a highly untimely manner some time next week.
It never ends. Because race car.

Never ends homie. I finally got some other sorted on the car. Still waiting on tuner to send 3rd revision back. Car is drive able and not nearly as rich as it was before but pretty bad.
I've had a low fuel issue (Emery and another member pointed out the siphon tube was on backwards so even though it looked right I swapped it).

Aaron from ER is tuning it remotely. I was thinking about kidnapping him though and bringing him out here
Well hey at least yours is finally up and running! It really does never end, I just want a smooth driving car first and foremost above everything, then I will worry about power.
I just realized today too that there are 2 different part numbers for the intake and exhaust rocker arms, never paid attention to placement when we took them out the first time so it should be fun figuring out if theyre in the right spot or not.

Yeah working with Aaron is slow motion. He was supposed to go to FL in the summer I would've missed but I wish there was a Southeast trip in his schedule soon. LOL.

Mini update - replaced the crank position sensor last night...still no spark
Whatnow.com lol.
I knowww, but the stupid car DID have spark, thats why I never checked it. Now suddenly it wasnt sending signal. And now still no spark lol
Thank you. ER is very busy, but Aaron is the man and while I never thought Id do remote tuning, I trust his knowledge and abilities 100%.
I wish! Im going to post a video of me crying hysterically like the guy in the double rainbow video once the car finally starts.
Thank you!

A stupid ECU fuse was blown. For several weeks, a 6mm long, two pronged piece of metal stumped 8 people. Knew it was something dumb all along, no one imagined it was that dumb. If it wasnt for my buddy Eric ^, who knows how much longer it would have been till it got figured out.
Unbelieveable
