This is a very inspiring thread despite it being a few years old i'm going to use it for reference in doing an evo head swap onto my 4g69 in my 2006 CH Vrx (Ralliart overseas) Lancer Sedan as well as converting it to AWD it'll be a few years to be able to complete it but I have a base outline of where I want to head with it, aiming for a balance of performance and reliability as it'll be my daily driver as well and also be a fun track car. If there's anything I should know that would be greatly appreciated and also if I should go outlander AWD or Evo AWD.

Cheers from Australia

With that said here is my 6466 4g69 build. Heading out of the country in October for a while so wrapping it all up this month. It is not running yet but everything is here. Been a lot of planning, looking at what was available, and simply wanting to do things right. Least competitive person you'll ever meet so check the machismo neanderthal stuff at the door please

I will be updating this and answering any question to be had. Have held off on putting it all up as I didn't want to lead anyone in the wrong direction since nothing has fired, run, or blown up as of yet haha. But seriously though guys, this is an experiment. I did it because I wanted to see what would happen with this iron block if you pushed it with a build that has had no real limit, within reason, or deadline. So here are the pics.

Sorry to dig this up again after sooooooooo long, but can i ask if the timing gears and timing belt from the 63T be used here without issues?

Also hypothetically, can this be done with an older head from say, a 6 or 7?

all evo timing stuff will fit you don't have to worry about that. you need to plug up the mivec hole if you trying to use anything other then a Evo 9 head

Oh ok really interesting. i was askinf because i read this https://www.mirageforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=54700 and seems its not as direct bolt on as i assumed it would be. But TS dun seem to have encountered these issues.

all the Evo accessory water pump, timing. will directly bolt-on. this box is the exact deck height as 63. the reason it som differences is because the desk height is different and the water pump is aswell
