Okay, I'm getting some things done.

First off, charge harness is repaired and ready to go back on. Hopefully doing that in about 45 minutes.

Secondy, boost. When I went into the stock 94170015 tune and looked at the BDEL numbers, I used the numbers from table 1 in the tables on Tephra. Oops. Those are puny numbers. I had spot checked but looked at 1 and 4, which are identical. #2 looks like what I'm going to want to hit full boost.

Harness is back on and engine bay is buttoned up. Car cranked right up. So glad I didn't mess anything else up.

Didn't have time to take her out for a spin as I was on my lunch hour. I'll put in a little gas and take her out tonight.

Still working on getting everything right. With the help of some awesome forum members I'm getting the boost nailed down. I think my WGA is old and weak. I'm going to mod it a little for now and work on picking up a higher psi actuator. Then wideband, then time to learn some tuning!

GrimmSpeed 3 port is installed. Tables are adjusted to start logging. I'm planning on turning for 20psi to redline. After I get my wideband I'll probably shoot for 22 and start doing some fuel and timing work.

Did a couple pulls today and had to make an adjustment to my WGDC=100 value. It was screwing with the boost a lot. Should be a better log next time.

Spent some time with the car this evening. 1st and 2nd are feeling pretty good. I think I have them up to about 19psi. I'll make some adjustments so they hold steady. 3rd gear is also close. 4th wasn't feeling very consistent, and 5th was overboosting like crazy.

Baby steps!

Not a lot of news. Got back from a short family vacation.

I went to replace my rear differential fluid, as I was unsure of the condition. I pulled the plug and beautiful clear fluid dripped out. I put the plug back in.

I ordered a set of new boots for my front ball joints. Easy job if you've never done it, although I tore one of the new boots by trying to use a socket to tap it on. So, one side is done and the other will have to wait for another new boot.

Bought a set of stock lower tie bars from a member on here. Hopefully they'll ship out Monday.

Just a small update.

Finally got a set of stock tie bars installed.

I've finally traced my oil leak to my rear main seal. I guess I didn't get it installed in the housing well. Tranny needs to come off anyway to do the input shaft bearings. I guess that's all in the works for this fall.

Boost is coming along well. I need to log to make sure, but I think I have it pretty close to where I want it. I have sourced an LC-1 from a friend and am trying to get him to ship it.

Shredded 3 serp belts in the past month. My PS pump has some shaft play. I ordered a rebuild kit and will be doing a writeup on that, soon.

AEM wideband should be here soon. Ready to do some fuel tuning.

So, I found that either my PS pump pulley or shaft are bent. I shredded 3 belts. Working getting a new pump.

Valve cover is off. I'm sanding out some low spots that I created while I was shaving it. Going off to powder after that.

Motor and tranny are coming out. I'm leaking oil and I think it's from the rear main seal. Probably fubar'd it when I installed it. Going to try to spring for a new clutch while it's out. At the minimum, I'm going to replace the input shaft bearing. Noise is driving me crazy.

Spent my lunch hour prepping. I'm down to needing to get under the car for the starter, draining the drivetrain, and then pulling the axles. Should be out pretty soon.

Updates on the valve cover.

You can see the low spots from my Dremel. Lesson learned:

After a lot of time with a sanding block and some 100 grit:

And all done. 100, 120, 220, 400.

After powder, I'll pop off the baffles, tap for bolts, and loctite it down.

Power steering pump is on the way, as well as engine hangers. Motor should come out this weekend.

Popped the rivets on the valve cover baffles today and dropped it off for powder. Power steering pump is on the way to me. Updates when I have them.

You tapped the baffle mounts for bolts before sending to powder, right? You will probably mess up the finish trying to drill and tap them post-powder
