Working on it! Logging and making small changes to the timing map right now. Wideband is on my short list so I can start leaning it out a bit.

I have a Perrin intake, but I want to see what I can squeeze out of it as-is before I do much.

Well, I found something out about the car that is really helpful. When I was under it this past Friday troubleshooting a stripped camber bolt, I noticed that the car has a second in-line fuel pump. This answers a few questions. I've felt like the car was running rich, and that would explain it. I thought there was a rewired Walbro in-tank. Looks like the wiring was for the in-line. I pulled the cable off the battery and it starts right up. I'll try to take it for a spin when I can and see if some of my low load/rpm knock is gone.

I guess I need to pull the in-tank pump and see if it's a Walbro, too, or just stock pump.

Small update. New camber bolt and oil pan magnet. That thing is strong.

Yeah, it's certainly been an adventure. A lot of fun, though.

I pulled the in-tank pump last night to verify that it's a Walbro. Good news!

I'll be fully removing the in-line Walbro at some point this week. I'll probably have it for sale if anyone is interested.

Right now I'm just waiting for a little cash to free up to finish up a few projects, then my first order of business is getting a wideband on the car.

I was told that I hadn't updated in a week! Better get to it.

Car is off the road until mid July. I have to pay taxes on it and get the title swapped over. Yes, I screwed around and didn't do that. Oops. So, saving a few bucks and I'll have her back on the road soon.

In the meantime, I'm trying to get my slow spool nailed down. I'm not hitting peak boost until closer to 4500rpm. I've done a couple boost leak tests and haven't found anything. I put a couple turns on my actuator rod and actually started getting a little creep. Gotta take it down a turn.

I tightened the center clamp on the turbo and it wasn't super tight. Maybe that'll help, but I won't know until I can take the car out for a spin again.

Did a compression test this morning before work. Results were the same across the board. Fully warmed up, plugs out, crank sensor unplugged, throttle open.

Spent the weekend hunting down boost leaks. Found 4.

BISS screw (removed, lubed the o-ring)
Throttle body leaking (random spot, not the seals)
EGR blockoff plate
UICP to BOV hose

After fixing these, the car feels really strong. I'm super pleased. Thanks to the forum members that helped me track down the leaks. It's a whole new car.

I lubed up the BISS o-ring with dilectric grease. I pulled that shaft/spring out (carefull) and put some RTV on it. There is a seal in there that I believe is available for purchase. Mil.spec replaces them on their rebuilds.

that thing is strong, when I went to put mine in I couldn't get it in the hole () because it kept sticking to the oil pan.

Yeah, it's strong! Hoping to get it on there soon. Still on my break in, technically. Also hoping to get an oil cooler on when I do my first synthetic oil change.

Took the car out for about 120 miles today. First time I've really driven it since I fixed my boost leaks. Its really nice. My only issues were that the AC is still having trouble and some cold idle problems.

I also just gapped my plugs out to .025 from .022. Haven't driven it, yet. They're BPR7ES. Anyone have a suggestion for gap on those plugs. I've just read .025 and want to give it a try.

Also locked in a Omni 4-bar and another GrimmSpeed 3-port. I was supposed to pick them up today but my paycheck is late. Hopefully I'll be putting those on this week. After that, oil cooler and wideband will be my next priorities.

Not a lot new. Car is still running great. Bought a lower heat shield from a guy on the forum. Hoping to have that on soon. In need of consistent AC!

Also picking up the Omni MAP and GS 3-port this coming weekend. Very excited about that. Happy to start logging my boost!

Would love some input on this VD graph:

Attachment 333800

As you can see, it seems like I'm still spooling slowly. I'll have an Omni in next week so I'll be able to log it.

Zero boost leaks (that I can find), I'm reading that I should have 10psi by 3200ish. Turbo spins beautifully and I hold boost until redline. What in the world could be causing my slow spool? I adjusted the WGA again today and still no luck. I set it 3 full turns past when it slips on the turbo easily.

Thoughts are:

Bad WGA
Bad MBC
Turbo needs rebuild

I'd put the DV on the list but I've pressure tested the car at 18psi with no problem.

Picked these up this evening:

Yes, I already had a Grimmspeed but ended up trading it for other parts. Good to have it back.
