Got some details wrapped up tonight.

Crank bolt torqued

Crank pulley on
Acc idler pulley on
Crank scraper and baffle back on
Oil pickup on
Oil pressure sensor hooked up

I'll try to get the water pump pulley, acc belt, and oil pan on tomorrow.

Just about have this thing wrapped up.

upper timing cover on
water pump pulley on
acc tensioner on
acc belt on
valve cover on

Just cleaned up the oil pan. I'll stick that on as soon as I get home so the RTV can start curing. At the very least I want to get that and the downpipe, LICP, and ignition coils on tonight.

Well, I'm happy to report that all things are go! Got it all put together pretty quickly tonight. Put in some crap oil and distilled water and went for a ride. Tires are toast and he car is waaaay out of alignment. I need to tweak a few values in ecuflash.

I'm in love. She's not brand new. Driveline has some whine to her. But I love her. I did 25 miles hitting 9-10psi odd the wastegate. She feels as quick as my e46. Can't wait to get things all sorted out. I'll finish beating on her for another 35 miles and change he oil and filter.

Only non stock bits:
Balance shaft eliminator
Tomei scraper/baffle
Rewired Walbro
9 metal recirc valve
Whiteline steering rack bushings
RS trunk bar
ACL bearings
ARP hardware
Supertech Valves
Phenolic Intake Manifold gasket
EGR delete
ProSport boost gauge

Well, things seem to be moving so far. I have about 90 miles on the car. Did the first oil change at 80 last night.

Installed some used "decent" tires yesterday until I can pick up a set in a month or so.

Oil return line is leaking a bit. I'm going to have to pick up some new gaskets and try to redo it. Not sure why it's leaking. I installed it with new gaskets and torqued to spec.

Idle is rough, but that may be due to the lack of EGR. I haven't made any adjustments to the ROM yet. I brought a laptop home this weekend and may try to turn all that off.

I installed the MBC last night and was having zero luck getting the boost to come up. Pulled it off and found that the spring wasn't seated on the ball. Fixed it and installed it first thing this morning before a donut run.

WOW! 15psi feels pretty awesome.

That's my report for the morning! Hoping for an alignment this weekend.

Turned the boost up just a hair. I was hitting 17. Felt pretty good. Then it started dropping to about 14. I checked my intercooler piping. Had some slippage. I think T-bolts will be on my list soon along with fixing the return line.

I've had issues on leaky return lines as well. It seems if the return line is tweeked the slightest bit it will not seal. I usually use a small bead of RTV on it.

Things are still going well! I'm going on 90 miles on the 2nd oil change.

Installed my cheap-o strut tower brace. Actually looks pretty decent without the red accents on it. I'll put a picture up later.

Went through and tightened up all my clamps and zip-tied the MBC. Boost is up to just under 18psi. I'll leave it there until I can log it.

Got an alignment today. PO had lifetime alignment at Firestone. They totally ignored my spec requests. Whatever. It was free. Tech told me that one of my caster bolts in the rear needs replaced. He said it won't hold. I'll get that fixed up.

Car feels a TON better and some of the odd noises and harshness are gone.

Only issues now are:
small oil leak that I'll repair on my next oil change
lack of oil cooler that I'll replace soon
I need fender plastic
Stock lower braces

Thanks for all the support! I'm really loving the car.

I'm just super impressed with this car. I got in my bimmer for the first time since last Thursday. It feels like a boat at first. I got so spoiled to the tight handling on the evo.

Anyway, here's a quick pic of the engine bay:

Please don't play "count the zip-ties". A few loose ends to tie up. They will be replaced with bolts soon enough.

Anyone have a set of stock lower tie bars they'd be willing to sell cheap?

First and far most, congratulations Aggie! It's been a long time coming and it very satisfying to see your work come to fruition ... I know it's been awhile but I have been following on the side line. *** be aware, it's very hard to keep from leading from the front with the Evo, it WANTS to go fast.
I need you help with my boost. How do you know how much you a running and more importantly, how are you adjusting it? Boost controller?
I realize I sound like a "Newb'" right now but your guidance is golden.
