New WW IX MR
I don't mind the look because it's functional, but it looks much better when the front and rear gaps are the same, IMO. LOL
And yeah, I suppose our camber plates may move the wheels back a bit but nothing compared to the movement from the PSRS (which moves the lower control arm. That's why the wheel moves forward). I couldn't tell, really.
I do not believe it's legal in most classes. I think you are right.

will also change the trans fluid to redline mt85 for our 6 speeds, see how that makes the trans feel. actually I'm in the process of seriously contemplating changing all my fluids to redline... and I'm an amsoil dealer!
we'll see! different conditions, etc so won't be apples to apples but I'm looking forward to it!

that's a good run! will do, it should do as well or better than oem. changing today, will let you know
Swapped to MT85 and adjusted the clutch slightly - trans shifts very, very smoothly! Very happy with the fluid and will plan on using this for the rest of the car's life. The trans has been rebuilt by TRE and the car makes about ~300whp and `270lbft of torque. Primarily autocrossing the car, so 1st and 2nd which I understand are strong, though 2nd is ever so slightly shorter than in the 5spd - and I feel it.
anyway, low power levels so it should be fine for my first PDX coming 10/24 - my only worry actually is tires, I'm on bald Z1ss and it will most likely be a chilly fall day in STL. Hope they are up to the task and don't just send me off the track on my first go around. Will be gentle with the trans but honestly with my power levels I doubt I'll have any issues. Any recommendations on starting pressures? I believe I will be doing 3-4 20 minute sessions.

i can't remember what pressures i start at. it's in a binder somewhere. i usually start pretty firm. and work my way down. my numbers are all for my car's weight and tire, though. not sure if it would help. in fact i'm on a new tire now, so all that goes out the window for me too LOL.
slippery tires are fun, sometimes. they make you be a smooth driver haha.
my car isn't built for AX, but has been doing pretty well. i got FTD this past weekend by 2.5sec. that's to be expected though, IMO, due to the class i run in. a lot of fun. here are a couple vids of the course and in the car, if you are curious.

yup. i think i made it to 80-85mph before the braking zone. since i couldn't be on the big course that day, at least i got to get in some hard breaking with two gear changes LOL
autocrossed the car this weekend, same site and conditions as before, roughly. the car was still a little unsettled in the rear - maybe slightly improved after fixing the caster and lowering the rear.
I could lower the rear a little more or pull the rear sway bar back to the soft setting, which is most likely what I will do since the PDX is coming this weekend too (want the car to be understeery, if possible). The comment I received from one of the STU drivers is that I should increase the rebound in the rear since the rear end is really coming up on me under lift/braking - but sadly my expensive but cheap Ohlins are only single adjustable - compression and rebound together.
I think pulling the rear sway bar back to soft should help though, and I'll reevaluate once I get sticky tires.
