I'm sure at least half of the damage is from not getting it out of Gear right way. Was more concerned with gathering the car up at 110. It unsettled the car really bad lol. So the motor kept spinning for at least a few hundred feet. Beat itself to death.

Also, turbo got hurt. Housing and turbine are junk.

Holy ****! I didn't expect the turbo to be touched! Pistons 1 and 4 had very unsettling deaths that scarred the crap out of piston 2. Piston 2 said "I'm OUT!" Piston 3 is that one friend who never shows up to your parties. He slept through the entire event. Do I see an FP Black in your future?

The red will go back to FP for refurbishing. If I change the turbo in anyway, it's going to be a turbo kit.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing the condition of the tcase and trans since they were already built. A refresh is always a good idea, but then ....the break in process lol.

Jon will be lapping the gears in for me to shorten the break in significantly.

Also, the tcase is blown up. Needs a ring and pinion. Learned the hard way to not run a tuned ACD on fresh gears.

Rear diff is fine. Trans is getting more than a refresh. Final drive change, different 4th and 5th gear.

Dave at headgames called to discuss some things yesterday, and let me know my head is on schedule to be donw in about 2 weeks.

Wiseco had a bit of a snafu and put the wrong skirt coating on my pistons. They said they got them back today or yesterday from soda blasting and will be getting recoated. So, hopefully not way longer on those.

Meanwhile, I ordered EvoX front brakes. And I am compiling my long list of needed miscellaneous, clutch rebuild, and fuel system related items that has quickly exceeded $2k and is creeping towards $3k...sigh....lol.

Next weekend is Discount Tire's Memorial Day sale, I'll be ordering either Enkei PF01's or Forge Star F14's in 18x10.5 +38 and some Hankook TD Z221 Medium compound tires in 285/30r18.

Nice update,
It appears that in the car industry, it has now become just as likely for people to make mistakes on your precious parts as for things to happen correctly the first time around. Jeez! Crossing my fingers for you that nothing happens to delay your build. Build costs are always a heart breaker, but large builds only happen once in a long while.

My head went in the garbage. I found an Evo 9 head and shipped it to Head Games 1st week of may.

Fingers crossed that everything start falling into place. I really want to take it to MOD, which is July 14th.

Man, I hate to see all that. When it rains it pours. Good luck getting it all back together. Ramen and cereal this month? Hah.

Not an Evo update, but a truck upgrade is in progress.
