I was out of town last week so I wasn't able to make any progress with the build.
I have accumulated a small pile of parts that will be going in this week and next, pics are coming

Newish Items

New steering column arrived. New key doesn't have the pretty chrome diamond star, but it works.

New (to me) steering column, new (to me) firewall insulation/deadening mat, and old dash back in.

Picked up a gauge cluster off ebay for $80, couldn't resist. It should serve me well enough for now.
Also pictured: Universal throttle cable, master cut off switch and a big ole' fuse- 300V, 600A continuous and 1200A peak!

Last Leg

Previous to-do list was very general. This list is the final, more distilled version. I'm guessing 15ish hours work and 5-10ish hours planning. I hope to check off about half of the list this weekend.

Neat bits

This gauge will display charge/discharge current, pack voltage, state of charge, and remaining capacity of my 12v LiFePO4 power supply. I used one of these in my electric dune buggy, they're really nice to have. The ON/OFF power switch will control the H20 pump and main contactor circuits. All other 12v circuits will be controlled by the key switch.

Key Switch, Push Button Start, and 12v Monitor Wired
And wow, that LED is blinding

I believe there was a red LED offering with a matte black face, I'll be looking into that.

Not sure it it was asked... but what will you use to compensate for vacuum to the brake booster?

A small electric air pump. There are a few kits with a tiny vacuum chamber available that should keep up with braking vacuum requirements.

So I assume this would be left out in the open or are you going to stuff it somewhere to avoid the noise?

Very easy for my simple electric car. However, the circuits controlled by a start button in an ICE would be entirely different.

Probably not. Some of those pumps are very quiet and produce sound in the ~50dB range. I plan to lay some mass loaded vinyl and other components in the cabin to reduce noise levels. However, I'm still focusing on my initial drive test which has been too long in coming. Fingers crossed, I can conduct it this weekend or at least make the final preparations this weekend.
