Lol took me a minute to realize you changed the thread title. I was like "I definitely don't remember subbing to this thread..."

Looks like things are coming along nicely. Did Boostin give you a timeframe for the engine? Also is there are reason you're choosing a wally 450 over something that's drop in like an AEM 320?

I thought the new thread title was appropriate haha

Honestly I'm undecided on injectors and pump. I do want a "kill tune", may as well since I'll have a built motor. Just to play with on the street. Just not sure a 255 can keep up on e85.

Last I heard from Boostin the block was at the machine shop and head was next in line for porting.

So I've also ordered an intake for sealed catch can but also to recirculate the BOV. I'm a little concerned that when the BOV opens its going to pressurize the catch can? I know their is a check valve on the intake line but would like to hear some thoughts on it.

I have a 255 and it does fine at 400 but I'm not sure I'd take it much further than 450. I've had a 320 sitting on a shelf for a couple months now. Probably going to drop it in during winter.

The pre turbo intake will always be under a vacuum since the compressor wheel is always spinning and pulling in air. No pressure will make its way to the can. Especially since the only time the BPV will open is during significant boost and that's also the same time suction on the intake will be greatest.

As ayoustin said there's no concerns there as A) the intake isn't sealed so it can't make pressure and B) it's always under vacuum. I also have a "custom" STM 3" intake with recirc port & -10 AN sealed catch can fitting that is working without issue so far on my MAF setup.

Getting some parts in and did a few small projects. Buttoned up some wiring and installed APR Mirrors. I'd not have bothered if I had or could find OE RS mirrors... What should have been a straight forward install ended up being slightly more involved. The instructions were a bit confusing. Had to run a 5x.8 tap down the mirror base since threads were not pretty out of the box and I striped a bolt head trying to get one in. After chasing the threads with the tap the install was easy. Also had to de-pin the connectors for power mirrors in order to separate the window/weather stripping from the OE mirror base. Too much work and money for 3lbs weight savings. I guess a little better aero/less drag...

Finished the battery wiring and EvoX fusible link. Need to get a few nuts and bolts for the bracket still. Reran the battery wire on the passenger side because OCD told me thats where I should put the weight...

I also did some painting. Painted the column, and E-brake brackets and bare metal bits.

Also received my ID1300 which I'm excited about. They make a good product and these are specific to e85.

IT CAME IN. I love this wheel and can not explain why. Its a wash in terms of weight compared to the OE wheel without airbag.

But in removing airbag its a good 3 or 4 lbs shaved in total. And just holding it in my hand I can tell its going to provide much more grip.

Sparco 015L800SC Steering Wheel (Strwhl L777 Suede Black)
