Also, on my BMW, the PSS4's are usesless with no LSD and over 300whp. I loved them at 8 psi and hated them after.

Anyone ever try the Advan Neova's? I have RE71-R's for the Evo but the Hankook RS4's create too much road noise on my BMW.
The FiTronic kit? It is my understanding that the flexfuel sensor is exactly the same, but the interpreter box and gauge may be shaped and look different. Their behavior is the same though more or less. They'll read an ethanol percentage from the sensor in the form of a frequency and convert it to 0 - 5v signal that's fed into the oem ecu.

RE71R's were a great performance tire, but they were really overkill for the street car. I would run them again if I had to though

Where are you mounting the flex fuel sensor?

I found a nice spot behind the intake manifold using one of the EGR system 10mm bolt holes. It worked out great because the FPR return line was also an inch away!

Nice! I made a similar setup a while ago too using two of the bolts holes for vacuum lines on the back of the mani.

That's almost exactly what mine looks like Reusing factory mounting points is the cleanest way to do things, even if you have to make an adapter bracket. What size fuel line did you end up using? I had 5/16" at first but it leaked badly off the factory return hardline. I ended up going with 1/4" for the entire return, which is about the same size that comes with the STM E85 Basic FPR fuel kit.

You'll be much happier with it bolted down. My flexfuel sensor didn't come with a mounting bracket, so I had to order one online.

I don't use the hardline portion of the return line. I found some quick release fittings that work with 5/16" line and made a new rubber line to go from the FPR to the content sensor. The factory rubber line fits on no problem to the other side of the sensor.

Ya I ordered the sensor by itself so it didnt come with a bracket either. I didnt know anyone made a bracket for them... Where did you get yours from?

I got mine from amazon. Search "E85 Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter Mounting Bracket, for Ethanol Fuel Conversions (EF-1001-ABS) NEW VERSION." It's a 3d printed bracket for the continental flexfuel sensor.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Going to order one up tonight even though its almost as expensive as the sensor itself haha!

Yeah, FitTronic. Flexfuel sensor is the same...are you saying the OEM ECU can handle a real flex fuel tune with just a sensor? If so, that's news to me. Thought you needed a FitTronic to make it work right.

What's the spool like on your 2.3/FP Black? 4000? Twin scroll, right?

Not quite, the OEM ECU needs a 0 - 5v analog signal so the Zeitronix kit comes with a box that converts the output of the Flexfuel sensor (in Hz) to a voltage that the oem ecu can read. It gets wired to the same ECU pin used for a map toggle switch. Here is the exact kit I got minus the harnesses it came with.

Spool is not too bad. I have the single scroll stainless steel housing JB FP Black (cheapest in the lineup) and it gets full boost (about 37psi) just after 4k rpm. Twin scroll would have been better, but I think i would just jump to a borg warner, garret, or Precision turbo if I ever switch. There are turbos out there that spool faster than an FP black and make more power

Yeah, but we live in California and all those manifolds will atrract the Po-Po.

I'll talk to Aaron about the Fitronic vs. your setup. I already have the Fitronic so...

The FiTronic is literally the same. It converts the Hz signal from the sensor to a voltage signal and sends that voltage signal to the map switch pin on the ECU. The Zeitronix and Innovate ECA gauges have the same voltage output to wire into the UCE. And he uses the same ROM (and he even has permission to do so from FiTronic).
