It seems like similar known problems are left for individual owners to deal with instead of a general fix/recall. The Ford Focus RS is a new system though and has not really been tested by time, racing, and general teething problems.

well this is the whole purpose behind warranties, and lemon laws. Engineering and manufacturing is not something we can do perfectly yet and this stuff happens to literally every single thing we mass produce. Its really more about how the company handles the situation that is telling then the fact that it happens.

Nope. The car is junk. One leaky seal on one car, recall all of them and ship them to the crusher.

Jesus, one photo of a leaky seal and people think the whole line up is junk?

Do a search for transfer case leak or SST fluid leak on this forum and see what you find.
