They just resent having to push an extra button to get there

Right? lol

Side note. 4 dealerships posted NEW ads on cars.com for a Focus RS. I emailed all 4, and they don't even have the car in stock, and they don't know what their 2017 allocation is going to be. WTF.

they do that all the time just to get people in the door, then they try to sell you something else. you'd be surprised that it actually works. I had a coworkers talking for weeks about how he's gonna go get himself a Charge with a V8 (which ever model is below the SRT), he finally gets the car and its a V6. I asked him what happened to the whole V8 thing, he says: "well I called the dealer and they had one, so I drove out there and they sold it like 10 minutes before I got there. So since I was already there I just got the V6"

I didn't know how to reply to that. Thats like going to a high end steak house and getting the chicken cause they ran out of the ribeye... so those ford dealers are prolly thinking they could sell you on an ST if you actually come in

haha, there are... you gotta keep in mind most people think of cars as appliances. I never thought it'd work on anyone that knows the difference between a V6 and a V8 though

Right, I could see it working on someone that just wants a certain trim level on a standard focus or F150. But someone that wants a V8 charger settling with a V6, or someone who wants an FoRS walking out with an ST. Come on...

All dealerships pull that crap. You go all the way down there to hear, "we just sold that car...but if you look over here...".
Classic.
