I'm sure they can fix it.
Funny thing is I was looking at turbos last night. I was checking out the HTA 3582 and the FP Red. My main problem is I don't want to lose my power band. I like how early my torque comes on. Car feels great.
+1. Ride in mine then make a decision. Best bang for buck out there IMO. There is other proof with pump gas #'s and comparisons with the bigger kits thats been in a closet
The FP Black is a nasty turbo
Street OR Strip.......
The FP Black is a nasty turbo FP Red ported- $1750 shipped
Ported stock exhaust mani- $210 shipped
Ebay o2 - $110 shipped
So, for $2070 shipped your getting ALOT of bang for your buck, plus your able to keep the same injectors and the early torque range you like. If you got 1000's or better for injectors, for $200 more get the FP Black and call it a day. Remember with the tubular manifolds your losing a little torque also but gaining on the topend.
Here is a nice list of people with the stock appearing turbos and keeping that nice powerband you like also:

SRTRaceR04, if you'd like, I could find some dyno graphs for comparisons next....
he has a stroker, he wont loose much spool
the red will not make much more power than what he has now if any so there is NO point to go that route. the Black is not a bad idea but he could just go bolt on a HTA82 and spool it like you spool a black if not faster and make more power and torque
My suggestion would be ATLEAST a 82

I'm curious what a HTA3586 TS w/a 1.06 ar turbine housing would do on that stroker. Prolly be nasty. But for what hes looking for a 6262 would prolly be perfect for cost and his torque requirements.

These are actually the kind of responses that I was looking for. My engine should take a lot more than I'm currently pushing it to, but no engines last forever when you beat on them. When this one pops it's going to be replaced with a 2.4l.
With the stroker I don't have to worry as much about the lag, but I don't get to rev as high (until I do something with the head of course).
I'm also looking to keep my equal length manifold along with my Tial wastegate. So if I can't use the FP turbos with that manifold (I wasn't sure, but didn't think I could) then that kind of solves that issue right there. Along with the fact that I plan on swapping into a 4.11 final drive I definitely will need more top end.
Right now my mid range is awesome, but my top end is less than stellar. I mean it's good, but it's still something I think I can improve on.
Oh yeah and at National Speed I got free dyno pulls (since they backed my car up into the back of their dyno bay last time I was there). I made 413whp and 373wtq on their dyno. I was actually expecting more, but I figure because of the heat that my numbers would be lower. They were nice enough to rev my car to like 7900 when I clearly wrote 7000 as my limit.
What's the pros and cons of the 82 vs the 6262? And how much is each turbo respectively?

The 82 is a 35r based turbo while a 6262 is a billet precision with a 62mm compressor. Either one would be a great choice and both are proven. the Precisions are actually cheaper than the HTA's and they also are ceramic ball bearing eliminating the need for water lines to be run to them
