Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville Evos (NEW)
It says on coastal plains dragway that its closed to test n tune tonight. I checked. You could come out to fayettenam and test n tune in between the 1/8th mile footbrake competition tonight. They will let you run 1/4 mile test runs. I just don't have anyone to watch the boys tonight so I can't. If someone would go to keep an eye on frick and frat i'd go.......
the next NCR SCCA event is on June 12th and 13th at cape fear community college north campus. it is a 2 day event.
"The event is basically like two events, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. We will be running different courses both days.
Event trophies will be given on your combined best times from both days. That being said, only the results from Sunday will count toward the Cape Fear Autocross Championship and the Cape Fear Cup Team Competition. This was done to try and not penalize someone going for a season championship who cannot make it on Saturday.
Entry fees are also the same if you only attend one day, but you will get a break if you attend both days. "

Hey Bobbie I was looking into the Hallman's and from what I'm reading the ceramic ball should boost better than the steel ball. I'm curious as to why it holds boost better with the steel ball over the ceramic?
Unfortunately the Hallman my brother has is a Pro RX also so it has the ceramic. I'm going to try to get my hands on a steel ball tomorrow. I would imagine if I can find the grade, size and weight then I can pick one up at any place that sells those sort of things for one a few dollars or less.

I read on the Hallman website the ceramic ball is more responsive to boost pressures due to it being lighter than the steel ball. I'm using the ceramic ball right now, I haven't tried the steel ball yet. I won't if I'll notice a difference.

I have a spare steel and ceramic ball that came with my Hallman. How far is Hubert?

Yeah I was really surprised on the difference. Like it was very noticeable. I posted the question mainly because the information available seems to state the ceramic ball would be better. The dyno proved otherwise.
Guess it goes to show you can't believe every bit of information you read. Every car is different that's why a good tune is so important!!

.Hubert is right outside of Jacksonville. You head east on 24 towards Swansboro and take a right on 172. Or if you're on base you can just head out of the 172 gate. If you're in town at all tonight I can meet you somewhere as I have to hit the gym in Jacksonville around 6 or 7. Thanks man!
Feels MUCH better. Haven't gotten on it too much (except for once on the way back cause some jerk decided he wanted to do 50 in that 55mph single lane area just outside of Fayetteville) because the roads are pretty wet. Regular driving feels better and the power comes on good. Doesn't feel as early as it used to, but with the weather it's totally expected. I'm still surprised (and impressed) I actually drove away with more power than what I ran in the winter!
The car really picked up some torque! What did it initially dyno 317wtq or something like that? And I left with 417wtq? Pretty big jump IMO!!
I'm anxious to see what you guys can do with my buddies STi. Of course I would like it if his car did not make as much power as mine
, but I would be just as happy if it did. Not sure what the 3076 is good for though.
