well, I'm glad I finally finished all 20 pages. I can't wait for the next Dyno4mance dyno day. This enspired me to actually wanna keep modding my car. good luck with everything Shiv.

Hi guys,
How much you will benefit from a custom-tune map with the adaptive features is still yet to be determined. We've only tried these new features on one car so far and all evidence points to custom tuning on the ignition side of things may no longer be necessary. The adaptive ignition control works far faster than I ever could. What we basically have is a few thousand of me constantly watching out for knock (as I do when dyno tuning) and making small igniton offsets every 1/500ths of a second. And tuning on the fuel side of things is easy enough for anyone with a long stretch of road to do just by looking/logging the XEDE's fuel corrections.
This will redefine the way people tune their cars methinks. Even for ECU Reflash applications, people could use/borrow/rent an XEDE to see/log what kind of changes they need to improve their mapping. No more having to wait for a tuner to come to you and do the same work, much less effectively and more expensively.

except for the fact that i'm in TX, and i'm stock, and i probably won't touch my motor/power level until the shifter/brakes/wheels/tires/suspension are done... just said it was interesting...
