Yup, just like an SAFC but with the xede/ecu+/emanage you can control the timing, the problem gets greater with larger injectors and piggybacks when you are leaning out the top end even more.

According to shiv, (I think that) the actual timing is a combination of what is logged via OBD2 and the xede offset.

i have a question lets say you are running de 12.0-12.5afr in 3erd gear pulls, then you lower your afr's to 11.0 all the rpm range if donig this do you loose power(horsepower and torque) or nothing happens just more fuel dumped into the cylinders??

i did more logging first i logged the 05map for 91oct v360 with afrs in 3erd gear pull where 12.0-12.5 the map was untouched from the site:

Time,RPM,Timing,O2 1 Bank 1,O2 Trim 1 Bank 1

00:08.96,3750.0,10.0,0.9,0.0

00:09.27,4031.0,8.0,0.9,0.0

00:09.59,4297.0,6.0,0.92,0.0

00:09.89,4531.0,9.0,0.9,0.0

00:10.21,4820.0,10.0,0.9,0.0

00:10.52,5063.0,11.0,0.92,0.0

00:10.81,5359.0,11.0,0.92,0.0

00:11.13,5590.0,12.0,0.92,0.0

00:11.44,5863.0,13.0,0.92,0.0

00:11.76,6098.0,16.0,0.92,0.0

00:12.06,6328.0,18.0,0.92,0.0

00:12.39,6563.0,20.0,0.92,0.0

00:12.68,6793.0,22.0,0.92,0.0

00:12.98,6984.0,21.0,0.92,0.0

00:13.30,7191.0,23.0,0.92,0.0

00:13.60,7367.0,24.0,0.92,0.0

00:13.90,7539.0,24.0,0.92,0.0

as you can see timing is at 24* in the 7000rpm ranges.

then i added more fuel to the whole fuelmap and left my afr's in 3erd gear pulls to be 11.0-11.3 and this was the result:

as you can see timing went up to 26* it seems my car likes more fuel but iam concern of this timing i talked to a tuner whom tunes hondas and he said that as long as it doesnt pass 30* that iam fine. so what do you guys think?
i just added more fuel and left untouch the timing tables!

26 degrees is insane on 91 octane. Unless the reported timing is indeed not including what the xede is taking away, which btw, I think is retarded imho. How much timing is the Xede set to take off up top?

The ECU+ piggyback which is much like the xede takes out the timing first so that the logger will show the actual timing being used, not some number that you have to subtract another number from and then finally get the actual number.

I wish shiv could chime in here, but i gather the latter is corrrect...you have to subtract the xede's timing from the number that is recorded on the logger. So in the above case, it would be 24* or 26* <minus> the xede timing value, which i think is about 3-4*

So I take it the Xede doesn't have a logger and people have to use a OBD2 logger?

wow hold on here guys what are you talking about??? are you telling me that what the poketlogger shows i have to subtract the timing thats found on the tables of the xede????
timing up top in my map is from 7000rpm it takes off -4.1* and at 8000rpm -3.9*.
so if my pocketlogger is showing 26* i subtract the -4.1* to get my real timing then it would be 22*??? is this correct wow we are confuse !!!
so what do i do?????????????
you can see that the logs nj posted when he added fuel his timing also went up so whats with this???

in a previous log that i made i tried to take off timing and the log didnt change anything maybe i will lokk for that log so that i can post it up!

according to what people are saying and what they quoted Shiv on it looks that way. I find it odd since I have never heard of this before, but I have also never logged a Xede'd car before.

here is a log of the 91oct map w/o changes:

Time,RPM,Timing,O2 1 Bank 1,O2 Trim 1 Bank 1

00:10.06,6293.0,16.0,0.96,0.0

00:10.51,6602.0,19.0,0.96,0.0

00:10.94,6914.0,23.0,0.96,0.0

00:11.39,7156.0,24.0,0.94,0.0

00:11.82,7426.0,24.0,0.94,0.0

then in this log i added 1% to the fuel table and took -3* more out of the timing table this i did it to minimize the 24* to 21* but here are the results:
Time,RPM,Timing,O2 1 Bank 1,O2 Trim 1 Bank 1

00:10.53,6078.0,13.0,0.98,0.0

00:10.97,6383.0,17.0,0.98,0.0

00:11.42,6680.0,21.0,0.98,0.0

00:11.85,6965.0,23.0,0.96,0.0

00:12.28,7219.0,25.0,0.96,0.0

00:12.73,7457.0,27.0,0.96,0.0

as you can see i took of timing on the xede tables from 7000rpms to 8000rpms -3* and nothing happend it actually logged more timing!!!!!!!
so whats going on???

shiv please help!

Ok.... The Xede intercepts before entering the ecu. So what you need to do is log your timing, and then subtract the number being removed by the xede from each RPM/Load point.

Timing= ECU reported timing- the timing subtracted by the xede (at the same given RPM and load).

For instance if the timing removed by the xede at 40% load and 5500 RPM is -2.5, and the ECU reports 40% load at 5500 RPM, and the timing log shows 24 than the following is true:

24-2.5=21.5 degrees.

Now that sounds like a serious pita. Does Xede do no logging itself?
