Last production!!!Aug. Evo Pricing...
Well I was seriously considering purchasing one from SC but all this negative stuff pouring out about their bad customer service has kind of scared me away. I would suggest South Coast gets this straightened out ASAP because they are losing more and more potential buyers by the minute as ppl. are reading this thread. I'm now purchasing from a local dealer that even BEAT south coast's price (thanks psi) that I would pay.
Listen, S. Coast is a dealership, and they aren't perfect, but Mark M. will do everything possible to make the deal happen, he will tell the truth, and he will stand by his word. Anyone who wants additional testimony to this is welcome to PM me. He stood up for me - that is all.
Some of the complaints against S. Coast are pretty thinly constructed. They are offering deals that you simply cannot equal anywhere else. That is a fact. Mark will stand by his word. That is fact.

As of Friday I had not been given a reply as promised so I called MMNA for a follow up complaint. I told them that I regreted ever purchasing this vehicle and if they would please buy it back I would be happy to let it go. I stated that I would be writing a letter to the CEO as well as the MMNA Board of Directors showing all documentation of how South Coast Mitsubushi knowingly shipped me a damaged car and refused to resolve in an adequate and timely manner. While I was on the line, MMNA called South Coast Mitsubishi again and promised that the GM, Mac, would call me to resolve. Well, he did call 10 minutes later and asked that I go to a local body shop that I trusted to get a quote for repairing the hood and he would pay for the work to be done. I explained to him that I offered the same resolution with Mark, but Mark told me that I must use a Mitsubishi dealership to have the repairs done. Well the nearest dealership is 45min away and I have no idea how good their body shop is. I also stated to Mac that I expect to be compensated for my troubles as I will now have a painted hood to repair damages on my new car. This is all because South Coast Mitsubishi made the decision to take advantage of thier out of state customer. Mac asked that I come back with a dollar figure as to what I felt proper compensation should be.
I will keep everyone updated as to the results. I hope South Coast Mitsubishi has changed their approach to customer service so they can concentrate on the business of selling cars.

I have seen a lot of comments on here. Some in the negative... some in the positive. My personal view is that the Positive views are what should be expected when you are spending $1 or $35,000. A dealership couldn't stay afloat if they didn't have some good salesmen or at least some good experiences.
But just like the kid with cancer dieing... that one bad luck story really saddens the community. In this story a fellow EvoM member was the victim and the EvoM community has cried out "this is horrible". I think an even more appropriate correlation would be like someone getting raped because of all the gas card stories I have just now heard about. It seems like many people are falling prey to this dark alleyway rapist.
It would be nice to see some metrics by creating a paper trail of all the people in this community filling out a complaint with the www.bbb.org in regards to all "missing promised items". This will probably be a learning lesson to most... always get everything in writing for anything you are promised. If you don't have it in writing... then you have empty hopes and dreams.
Just remember… in the legal world, these men are professionals and should know how to do their job properly. However, you are just the common folk and are not expected to be experts. That’s why MMNA has come to ask 240Z TwinTurbo for his demands first… it’s a salesman’s approach. The first person to give a bid is the real loser because they just set a lower or upper bound for what they can offer. MMNA and the dealership know they have screwed up and empowered you with something great which is a slam dunk case for any shark lawyer (lawyers usually end up screwing you and the other party so be careful if you go down that route as well). Like I said before, think in your own mind what would make you a happy customer with your NEW Evo and expect nothing less. Be reasonable, but that doesn’t mean cut yourself short. I’m not in your shoes… so I have no idea what will make you happy in the long run with your new car. If someone told me that I was getting an amazing deal and below invoice, my reply would be,”…and I was expecting a new car for that price, had I known the price of the car would be similar to a used condition… I would have bought it used locally and saved on shipping”. But then again I am an *** when it comes to witty come backs… Please don’t be an *** when dealing with MMNA, they are working hard to protect their assets, as well as help you be a happy customer of Mitsu products. Do be nice to the SCM guys as well when you interact with them in the negotiation of your compensation… because just like in real life in the kindergarten sandbox… no one wants to play with the poopy-pants.

we all know that car salesmen have a bad rap to begin with, deserved or not, unfortunately mark is earning his with more and more on here. I am happy with the price paid for the car, but when promised something, you have to assume that his word is good until proven otherwise, and I was.
btw, would pm's from an internet forum be considered the same as getting it in writing? this was 4 weeks of pm'ing..

I still go back to the fact that it's not a lot of money, but more about principle at this point. I took the time to fill out the survey, not to mention taking delivery of a car with NO gas in it at all(yes, the gas light was on when I took delivery), which is a first in the over 15 cars I have purchased(3 being brand new) and this is how you follow up?
I think that enough time has passed for this to come to a positive conclusion, as I have not seen anything in over 2 months since sending you the survey.
thanks for the car and good luck on future sales.
scott
