Utah Evos
Hey Jake,
Wes's buddy who's running the open track day tomorrow was looking for instructors. You would be able to lap for free I think. Go to http://int.pca.org/
and click on the forums and look at the thread titled "June 26th Open Track Day at Miller"
I know you were looking for tires and/or brakes but if it's free than you won't care if your tires and brakes aren't perfect. You could do one session and it would be worth it (IMO). Just thought you would like to know. Plus you can instruct Dallin (I think he was going to try and go tomorrow).

I'd love to come, but there is no way in hell I can get work off that fast. And it isn't a care of being slow with my tire... Its a care of being safe, the thing is almost bald... But I'd rather save spending 160 on a new tire as long as I can
God damn gas prices. Either way, I'd still come out and instruct, but I highly doubt I can get work off, I'll ask for kicks though. Thanks for the heads up too... maybe if I post on PCA that I can instruct then PCA will start asking me to instruct too!
Hey, does anyone around have a timing tensioner tool? I'm going to be doing a cam swap here in a bit, and it would be great if someone had one.
Also, if someone that has done it before had some time to come help, there would be a burger and some beer in it for them... lol

I'm working on getting another tuner. He's done several other vehicles and a few Evo's on AEMs but I'm helping him (Guinea pig) learn the ECU Flash software to directly flash the stock ECU. If anyone needs a tune on an AEM PM me and I'll get you in touch with him. If it's the stock ECU, he should be ready in a few weeks. PM me if you need a tune sooner than that.
On a serious note though I've been thinking about possibly coming back to slc and I wouldn't mind doing more tuning with my own vehicle I'm just short some of the tools n experience I'm working on getting another tuner. That's why I got an AEM. It just makes things that much easier. Menu's are easier to use and custom functions are easy to make. The tuning is all the same no matter what software or hardware you have. The fundamentals are all in the fuel and timing maps. Those are universal. It's the details (like A/C, alky injection, boost control, etc.)that can be tricky from one unit to another. That's what we are trying to figure out now with the ECU Flash Software.

EVO X in Ogden
I have an silver X in Ogden, purchased late in January From Barber Bros in Orem.
one of the Bros keeps his plane in my hangar at the Ogden Airport so thats the connection. Mine has the SSS and Aero kit. I have added 50 watt HID driving lights next to the fogs. I replaced the false grill on the left side with a purchased right side one modified to be a mirror image.
Our company in Ogden Makes HID for aircraft both aftermarket and to Aircraft OEM's. We also sell to the military on 50 caliber machine guns.
